And since I am having a break from making plugins (I truly and utterly hate the CK at the moment), I decided to learn how to make animations!

 

At the moment I have only made one idle animation wich is a cross legged sitting animation that isn't too bad, but needs some improvement. 

 

Constructive critisism is always welcome in this thread! I need feedback to know what to improve. This thread is just here so that I can get someone else to look at my stuff and tell me how to do it better really. 

 

So without further ramblings here is my first idle animation:

And now that the animation is out there the ramblings can continue:

 

 

1. For all the animators out there, please have a look at it and tell me about the screw ups I made.

2. For the rest of you, does it look good? What should be changed? Do you have a picture to show me how I could improve it?

3. In general, if you have any hints or tips on how to become a better animator, please let me know!

The right leg needs to rest upon the upper left leg. The way you have it now, it will slide down.

Tested in game, doesn't slide down. Hard to make it look good with it further up the leg.

won't slide down in-game maybe.... but it would if you tried to sit like that IRL.

you are suppose to be relaxed when you sit down, the way the legs are posed in your sit animation she would constantly keep her leg up to have it in the same position.

 

animations and so on in the game should be based on laws of physics for it to not break immersion. 

 

just my thought tho..... we already have alot of sit animation, but very few animating standing idles.

Ahh.

I'll have a look at what I can do to make it look more natural there.

File for the new and improved(?)  version is now up! 

Also put in a new max file with both scenes for those interested.
