Hi, I have some questions about skeleton. I am try make some new mesh for human skeleton and I have problems with it. The human skeleton in the game have "capsule". Capsule is some kind of "collision box for sceleton" but working little different. For example: if the player set cursor on NPC, he see name of NPC, If a player takes a step in the right, the cursor changes. All creatures have different "capsule" (collision box) in game. For example crab and human (crab have small collision box). In web I found some information about BSBound parameter.

I am change human sceleton form. But I can't change that "capsule" in game (i am change BSBound param. in nifskope but nothing changed in game). My question is: how change in game form and size "capsule". The shape of a human skeleton in the game always keeps a rectangular shape even with animation. It is necessary to change the shape of a rectangular to square and reduced in size. It is possible ?

P.S. sorry for English.

i can not understand what you are willing to do ???              this bsboundbox     is for collision parametters in game  to avoid to pass though      i think for interractions .       the capsul shape are for collisions like grab .             the size of the first is to limit a space in 3d for any object Inside.     the second is to grab and move parts in interraction of the full body .

if you want to change the chape   you need to play with the x, y, z,   numbers   in  ' block details  '  in 'dimensions . you clickon x, y or z and change value.

(you will not see difference in game    only if you push by running through  or if you try to jump over )

It's hard to explain but I'll try.

1. I make NPC with new mesh

2. I use original human skeleton

3. I change the length of the bones in original skeleton (and changed form skeleton)

4. I set new skeleton in NPC

5. I change all param. in BSBound but.... in game my new "object" has rectangle form if I set my game cursor on new "object"

I want to change this invisible rectangle form on new (square form). I want a gaming cursor react to the new shape of the mesh. But the cursor responds as an old skeleton with a rectangular shape. (like on screenshot)

I attach my final skeleton file

i can not tell from skeleton   if there is any probleme with    (personnaly i would change center ; look at the bear skeleton  i think would be better to use)

it might be an other probleme :

first you must be sure that you are changing the shape of the main skeleton   and the game is not pointing on another  or the race in use is pointing toward your modified one.

second the ingame skeleton has 2 skeleton  and  skeleton beast  may be  it interfer (less probable)

I test original skeleton and found that changing BSBound does not work in game for human NPC. But if I create "creature" with human skeleton and modify BSBound, everything works correctly. I think you can not change the shell skeleton for NPC, feature of the game.... :-/

Greetings.

Hi KingKong ,

Hello & @ Shinshila : well , not sure of this , but with Oblivion you can only use one Skeleton , so i would suggest you create a new "creature " and not a new human race to test your modified Skeleton.

Like this you can use another ( your modified skeleton) skeleton , in the mod SoVvM br3 ( Soltheim, Wvardenfell and Morrowind recreated ...)  the "zigged Twillight" ( not sure of the engish term/word , in french it is called " Ombre Ailée " , they are the Azura servants in Morrowind game) ) work like this ( they look as human but they are set as "creature" ).

I think it would be easy to see if therei s or not a difference between the Skeletons like this.

I suppose you'll also need to start a new game ( a saved game would appear as a corrupted file if you change the Skeleton ... but that only a supposition , not sure of that).

Cheers.
