Noob Modder with issues.

Hi! I'm very new to modding Skyrim (just started last night. and I came across a you tube video with a link to the mods here. (I can't post links?)

I got nexus mod manager and added in a few mods, but unfortunately I have run into some issues regarding SSL

 

I downloaded the framework and followed the instructions here:

Fores New Idles in Skyrim (FNIS) REQUIRES FNIS 5.1 OR NEWER

 

SkyUI REQUIRES VERSION 4.1 OR NEWER

 

If you dislike SkyUI for some reason, you can also install SkyUI-Away on top of it.

 

FNIS Creature Pack version 4.1 or newer is required only if you want creature animation support in SexLab, otherwise it is not required.e pack version 4.1 or newer is required only if you want creature animation support in SexLab, otherwise it is not required."

 

the game starts, which is great.

 

However I run into two error messages (attachment 1 first, then the 2nd.)  and no sexy time happens. Any idea what I might have done wrong?

I would say, you didn't start Skyrim via SKSE.

When you've installed SKSE there appeared the new executable "skse_loader.exe" in your SteamApps\Common\Skyrim folder. This one you have to use to start Skyrim instead of "SkyrimLauncher.exe".

 

This definitely is the reason for the first popup, I don't know if the second one is a result of the first issue.

Okay, so doing that removed both pop ups, so hurrah!  However, I also added in the defeat mod that lets characters get jiggy with it, and the clothes get removed but the game crashes immediately after, no animation starts. I'm guessing that has to do with FNIS?

Yep, you have to use the tool GenerateFNISforusers.exe, to be found in \Skyrim\Data\tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users

I would recommend to tick the two top patches before using it. If you have any of the mods mentioned in the patches section installed, tick it, too.

I ran with the two top patches, and it popped this out:

Creature Pack not installed

I'm thinking the "NO GENDER DIRECTORY ANIMATIONS" is why it crashes.

I don't know, who wanted to rape you as you were defeated? For draugr, wolves, ... you do need the creature pack.

Go back to the FNIS nexus page and download FNIS, FNIS Spells Addons and FNIS Creature pack. Even if you don't want to use creatures it is safer that way.
