Looking for new Races. (Don't have DLC.)

I seem to be having a hard time finding an additional race(s) mods for Skyrim that are for the base game-- No DLC.
Anyone kind enough to generate / compile a list that would work without the needed DLC?

Hopefully ones compatible with CBBE / Devious Devices / SoS. ^^;;

I'll see if I can find a few that once piqued my interest way back when, but...

I personally gave up on extra race mods when I realized a couple of things.

 

1. With or without required DLC, they're usually OP as fuck

2. They're usually either some lame color palette swap, or a "like this vanilla race, but (insert insignificant cosmetic change here)" sorta thing.

 

I will say this though - if you're going to toy around with extra races, I vehemently recommend using Mod Organizer. I don't know if it's still a huge problem now, but in my experience, extra races were famous for jacking up both my game, and my install directory to the point of mind-boggling. Also, you do have XPMSE and FNIS, right? (Forgive me for assuming you're an absolute n00b with all this

 

 

In fact, since I don't know what you're looking for in the slightest, I'm just going to go on a limb here.

I don't know if this link'll work for you if you're not a member of the Nexus, but try this. I just narrowed down the search for "new races" and there's only 7 pages of results to browse through (I would just sign up for a free account on the Nexus if you haven't done that already). Here are some that stood out to me (No DLC required, though some may require Apachii SkyHair if you don't have that already):

 

 

Homunkul Race - It says "Dawnguard Compatible", but it's not required.

Tsaesci Race - If you're willing to try something crazy, here's one for you. Pretty new, but pay attention to the recommended mods for this one. Your mileage may vary.

Obscuuri - Has it's own standalone body, so if you want a body of your own instead, you're gonna have some manual copy/pasting to do - again, Mod Organizer helps tremendously.

Drakian Race - Looks neat, but there's a handful of finicky precautions listed in the description, so watch that shit.

The Siren Race - This is a female only race, so if that's okay with you, then by all means.

Naiad Race - Has different balance versions to decide on, so choose what suits you.

Xivilai Race - Kinda wish I'd found this one a bit sooner. Ever played TESIV Oblivion? Doesn't matter, check it out, I just might try this one myself.

 

Most of these should be SOS/CBBE compatible, but keep an eye on whether or not the race uses it's own standalone body. Whatever you're looking for, I hope you find it. Let me know, will you.
