davidporter89 Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 does anyone know how to copy and paste a group of objects from one worldspace to another?
nekekami Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Cell to cell you an just drag select everything you'd like to copy, ctrl c and then load up the new cell and ctrl v or ctrl d, haven't done it in a while so can't remember if it's the duplicate command or just ctrl v
davidporter89 Posted August 6, 2014 Author Posted August 6, 2014 it's ctrl+v, for both operations. excellent. thanks for the quick........ and correct answer. i have messed with geck for a couple hundred hours, and i wish i had known this sooner, lol. thanks again, marked as solved and rep.
prideslayer Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Those are standard windows shortcuts. ctrl-c == copy, ctrl-v == paste. Also FYI, ctrl-x == cut (copy then delete). They work in just about every windows program, and windows itself, since forever.
davidporter89 Posted August 7, 2014 Author Posted August 7, 2014 well, its actually ctrl+d for the first operation, then ctrl+v for the second. i know the hotkeys in windows, but is ctrl+d a windows hotkey combo?
prideslayer Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 No, but ctrl-d is 'duplicate' in the geck. Open the edit window, you'll see it there along with some other editing shortcuts. There are single-key (no ctrl-) shortcuts as well under 'view'.
