General Tips for a new Project

Hey there friendly people.

I am going to play skyrim again.  And let me start by saying: the cool thing about my skyrim experience is, I have played a modded version, with at least Skyre, from the get-go.  And with almost 300 hours logged, I could make a very good case about PC replayability.

Anyway, I'm going to start a new project.  I really like SD+.  I'm going to spend tomorrow modding.  Any helpful tips?  Last time wasn't completely void of glitches... (I was using SD+)

I understand this is somewhat of a throwaway, but your input is appreciated.  Maybe armor mods?  I've done ths before and could understand a good deal of jargon.

Not on the mods I can help you that much. I am not currently using any Sexlab on my game. I am working on fixing and getting the visuals and some basics just the way I like it before adding anything else. ..

However.. Most people coming here are using NMM. I advise you to use MO. A slight learning curve to get started however afterward you can see all those files that you overrode with the latest mod you installed. .. .here is the great thing. The mod can be moved up and down overriding what you want without having to reinstall the mod again and again. Finally nothing is actually loaded into the Skyrim folder. ( that is anything that isn't required to be loaded manually) .. oh and you can create profile. Know about those pesky scripts don't you. Those scripts that are persistent and mess up the saves? Well no problem. When experimenting ( which you will be with SD and other mods here to see what is the best combination you desire) you can just copy the profile ( your game) and experiment. All you would loose in such a case as the saves become unusable when the mod is removed is the time you played on that profile. Also you can have several different profiles and play thorough. Find something you would like to mess with but don't quite fit into the current play through.. no problem. Just create a new profile, set up the mods and the load order you desire, and play. It is that easy. There is a thread on this that is active here on this site. and any Skyrim related MO question can likely be answered quickly there. You can find a link in my sig. While you are there there are a few other Skyrim related links that might help including a tutorial link for Sexlab and even an process for upgrading.

Check in AwefulArchDemon's thread on MO. Even if it is just to say Hi... There is lots of useful info and many post on personal expereineces. I myself post some "notes" sometimes on what i noticed. Many times others already know it but .. still there are some that won't.
