Hello people.

I am trying to decide on a combat and ai mod and can't make up my mind.

I am running the newest Sex Lab with aroused and Submit I plan to pick up a dialog as well but not sure which with the new update I was thinking Prostitution tweaked, I am trying for a full play though.

So in essence I am asking people who have tried.

Which combat mod works best and most stable with the S/L framework and mods?

Which AI mod?

Which Dialog sex mod should I pair with this setup, Immersion is very important to me so yeah.

I am open to suggestions and look forward to your input :D

I find Deadly Combat very stable, it's pretty low profile compared to a lot of the others, you'll forget it's even there very quickly, it's effect might seem subtle at first but if you ever try vanilla after it you'll see just how profoundly it changes how combat works.

I  run Erkiel Enhanced Enemy AI with it which won't add anything to the hefty scripting toll of SL as it doesn't come with any. I run quite a few other mods to ramp up the overall challenge, but these two are the core of NPC behaviour in combat for me and they work marvelously well together.

edit: to add, I've tried all the big ones too, like Duel and Duke's. DC is the only one I've stuck with because it slots right in with whatever else you decide to run, even the big perk overhauls like ACE and SPERG seem to get along with it.

I decided on Revenge and DUEL, I also added Combat Evolved because it is compatible with both and adds more ai, I try to stay away from scripts if I can, already have too many >.< who doesn't.

I am a huge SoT fan I am building around it, it is interesting and fun ...the interactions between SL mods and SoT,.

Thank you for the input :D

I believe I will see how this goes.

Let us know how you get on with that mod combo.

I'd be interested to know your take on DUEL. I ran with it for a couple of months but didn't think it really lived up to some of the claims the author makes, it's biggest impact seemed to be that it prolonged fights.

I was looking for something that made fights much more fast moving, brutal and decisive. I really like the timed wards of DC for when I'm playing a spellsword or mage, and it also comes with it's own locational damage, whereas the standalone ld mod you can get seems to be rammed with scripts.

I might give combat evolved/revenge of the enemies a go in place of enhanced enemy AI as I keep hearing that the combo is more deep than their ERSO equivalents.

A little update. I've spent a couple of hours with Combat Evolved, and so far  I'm really not a fan.

I'm currently playing a stealth char who has all the basic sneak perks. I readied a room by removing all torches, set up poisons and sniped a bandit from pretty much maximum range, he died instantly, other npcs nearby to the body became alerted and despite my distance from them they made a bee line straight for my position. So my stealth was blown even before they should have known where I was. I ran a fair length of the dungeon (which I'd already made completely dark) and hid behind a rock on a raised shelf, and they still found me immediately as soon as they entered the cell. And of course when they did, their attack power is so souped up even on Adept that the first bandit who engaged me one-shot me the instant he got past a parry.

I really like a challenge which is why I have so many combat mods, but Combat Evolved seems not to have much finesse, no subtlety, it just bludgeons you. Tthere's no uncertaintly, they always stick to you like glue, they're only ever full on aggressive and their attack power is on max regardless. That's not clever in my view, that's just super charging npcs to mitigate any advantages you have built into your toon.

I've gone back to Enhanced Enemy AI, difficulty level on expert, and now NPCs are back to doing clever things like cautious flanking, taking a gamble on power attacks, parrying my own power attacks, retreating to heal, and pressing advantage with numbers but not acting like a bunch of Chuck Norrises on PCP.
