rylasasin Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Okay, so I've been wanting to try this, basically a semi-pacifist run where my character is both a bard, and a mage (but only uses support magic and/or illusion magic to drive enemies away with the exception of undead. A white mage, if you will). A few things I have planned: - Character is Female (which, yes, means sexy shenanigans) - Character will not use weapons. Only fists as a last resort. - As stated before, character is a bard with defense only magic: Will buff up allies and use debuffing on enemies. (In other words: Restoration, Alteration, and Illusion (primary). So heavy reliance on followers and such. - Does not extend to undead. - Character is not the dragonborn, so no screwing around with dragon-related mods. - Character is either a stormcloak or imperial soldier (will use Imp or SC start), basically a spy of sorts though primarily a healer. With that in mind, here's what I have so far for mods (Not the only mods, but so far the ones worth mentioning) - Dagi Raht (Still have that mod before Nasuka pulled it) - Alternate Start (as I mentioned before, Imp or SC Start) Skyrim Unbound - Become a Bard (of course!) + Anduniel songbook expansion - Sexlab (of course!). Already set in this department so no need to suggest anything here. - CBBE - Skyre - EFF + Follower Live Package (like I said, this character will be reliant on followers) - INIGO (ditto) - Tame the Beasts of Skyrim II (with sexlab animal tame) - Colorful Magic (might not be necessary since its mostly destruction magic, but I have it on mostly for the restoration stuff) - Forgotten Magic Redone - Support Magic - You are not the dragonborn (which means no dragoncombat, no deadly dragons, no world eatter beater, etc) Not necessary with Skyrim Unbound Here's what I could use yet: - A bard appropriate outfit (CBBE Compat please) - A better alternative to Support Magic? - Anything else?
RitualClarity Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Create a bat file(s) with the needed spell(s) and equipment(s) that would be used, suggested since you are running alternate start. Your character would have some levels of knowledge already right? With this you can actually start at a reasonable level of magic, strength and other skills needed but not be overpowered and set the level of the player to where it is appropriate.
daggerfish Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 I would definitely recommend taking a look at Apocalypse Spell Package, not only will it revamp and add new Restoration spells for you to use, but it does so for every school of magic. Definitely a fresh new spin on any Magic based class if you have never tried it before. It's actually earned a permanent place in my mods list, I couldn't imagine playing without it. It also works fine with SL mods which alter the Illusion school, like enchantress, I have found. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/16225/? Populated lands, roads and paths -- Brings the game alive with more NPC's and revamps existing towns into much more interesting places. Dragon Bridge, for instance is almost doubled in size with this mod. Unarmed Warfare -- Never used this myself, but I know if I were playing any char that was unarmed based I would consider something like this for flavor.

It's a standard for me on all chars that aren't pure fighter types. Already have Pop Land roads and Paths... even made a merged version of it .... hmm... unarmed warfare? Would take it but the unarmed thing is more of a second thought/last resort thing than a dedicated monk char. May have to look into it if I make a brawler though.
RunicGray Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 - A bard appropriate outfit (CBBE Compat please) For clothing, here are a few things that have reminded me of bards (most for CBBE). Some are a bit more wandering bard, as they have a slight leather armour feel to them, and others are more regal, high-priced bard-wear. Field Mage Outfit (with optional DreamBurrow Retexture available) Unclaimed Deivery Emmah Dress and/or Vidala's Dress Maid Outfits Patchwork Maiden Armor (for the very poor bard! :3 ) DreamBurrows Princess of the Woods Retexture DreamBurrows Imperial Investigator Retexture Hopefully there's something in there you were thinking of, or at least helps with an idea. I'd really like it if Bard had been explored further in the main game. It just feels like it was abandoned.
