Dee383 Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 As The Title Says Folks Boss Is Outdated And Loot Wont Work On My PC So How Do I Sort My Mods ?
Nightmyste Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 only other option i can think of is TESV edit or manual, but do you have any info on why LOOT isn't working?
Zadnezz Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 yeah, I just used BOSS yesterday and anything went wrong.. Then just use Wrye Bash to reorder anything back like the previous save and use TESV edit to test
Killikrates~2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 I'm also curious re- "Why can't you use LOOT?", but putting that aside you could use the BOSS Userlist Manager (BUM) and manually create rules for all unrecoginized mods to start and then update existing rules in regard to any new mods you add (sussing out conflicts yourself and through reading the forums). Considering how much work it would be to "BOSS yourself" with BUM, I have to assume setting up LOOT would ultimately be easier.
gvman3670 Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 What OS are you using? If it can run Skyrim it should be able to run LOOT. Right? Or at least use an emulator or something?
Killikrates~2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 If you can run BOSS you should be able to run BUM. You will have to make your own rules to bring the outdated BOSS Userlist current, and likely have to do your own research to accomplish that, but it is do-able. You could always post questions related to specific mods and have those of us with LOOT post our findings as to where it places those mods in our load orders. I use BUM for Fallout NV and it works well for that. Best of luck.
Dee383 Posted July 10, 2014 Author Posted July 10, 2014 What OS are you using? If it can run Skyrim it should be able to run LOOT. Right? Or at least use an emulator or something? Im Still Useing WindowsXP PRO ..... So Im Limited To What Apps I Can Use Now .. But I Might Have A Try With BUM
Killikrates~2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 I think BOSS Userlist is current through the end of last year, so mods older than that shouldn't require extra maintenance. Newer mods will take a bit of research on your part to determine where you want them placed, then just make a rule and it sort fine. If you have Skyproc patchers, you can add a -NOBOSS argument and run BUM before the patchers (unless BOSS benefits from your BUM userlist rules, not sure).
