AstarteN7 Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 I have repeated the basic cleaning process of Bethesda's master files and dawnguard.esp is always left with 6 dirty edits. The rest has been erased but the last 6 seems to stay. Is this normal?
uiowebae Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 going by Gopher video on cleaning masters(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fw3g_N1jcZQ) its normal or at least from what i heard
AstarteN7 Posted July 9, 2014 Author Posted July 9, 2014 I downloaded the latest version of TES5 Edit, so that shouldn't be the issue. It might just be a normal thing but I wanted to know if anyone else have this as well.

shedidwhat Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 i also have it. so the problem is either the ESM is not being truly cleaned or its a problem with the program thats telling you the ESM is not cleaned. I say its LOOT thats wrong. this is what LOOT says after I have cleaned the ESM. Dawnguard.esmCRC: 31FEA081Add: Delev, RelevWarning: Contains 6 ITM records. Clean with TES5Edit.
Androktone Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 That's what mine says: Dawnguard.esm CRC: F7D3C379 Add: Delev, Relev As you can see, the control sum is different.
srayesmanll Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Did you try cleaning a second time? I wonder if it's because when you clean the DLCS, usually people clean the ITMs first, then the UDRs, and then by doing the UDRs (which undeletes and marks things as unused), the new "unused" things become ITM records themselves. A second cleaning always gets rid of them for me (I read somewhere that's all you need to do, a second ITM cleaning on Dawnguard DLC). EDIT: Found this bit of info in the LOOT forum pages (found here: http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1476559-cleaning-mods-issue/?do=findComment&comment=23083843 ): About those secondary cleaned records.[CELL:0000713B] contains a deleted reference which belongs to another cell in Skyrim.esm, when it is undeleted TES5Edit moves it to original cell and this cell becomes ITM.[REFR:000CCE09] and [REFR:000CCE05] are persistent references in Skyrim.esm, Dawnguard.esm removes persistence flag from them but they are referenced in ONAM list of overridden refs in plugin header. When saving the dawnguard after the first cleaning TES5Edit restores persistence flag on references in ONAM list (ok I admit I don't know why, it is programmed to do so since fallouts) and they become ITM with their parent cell [CELL:000CCDAA].So I think nothing serious here, just glitches in Dawnguard.esm
