lambient1988 Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 I just installed RealVision and followed this guide to every single point. Yet, I am getting flickering and the sun flare a lot. Here's how it looks like. So far I have figured this much out. 1. Flickering faraway mountains and sky. 2. Too much solar flare (or whatever that orange / red thing is) even at night. 3. Flickering reddish water when close to it.
AstarteN7 Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 What is your gpu? If you install everything the guide recommends you then you will problems if your gpu is not up to par. Install only the essential mods first Cimate of Tameriel and RLO or ELFX and install a realvision preset. Ignore the recommended ones until you get based mods down. Also don't tick any options for the mods that you don't have and use the default ENB settings for the sun and other stuff. The problem could be that you are missing a mod for a specific ENB settings to work on. Edit: I also use realvison, and I installed RLO with CoT, Option A and a few recommended mods afterwards. Works fine for me and I use a GTX680 Edit 2: Use the guide that is on the nexus http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30936/. Make sure you tweak your Skyrimprefs in your documents folder and disable some options in your gpu settings. edit 3: Installing CoT with another lighting overhaul such as ELFX and RLO requires you to tick only specific settings in the installer. Make sure you read the guide carefully on what to tick.
AstarteN7 Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Just to reiterate, CoT and another lighting overhaul (RLO or ELFX) are the core mods that the presets is working on.

Maybe something to do with the lighting? I cannot disable the lighting option from the Shift + Enter menu.
AstarteN7 Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 You can do it manually in one of the enb configuration files in your Skyrim data. It might be in ENB effects , I don't quite remember. Edit: Did you change the settings in your Skyrimpref ? The one that is in your documents

Edit: Did you change the settings in your Skyrimpref ? The one that is in your documents Yes, I did that. Pretty sure SkyLighting is the problem, how do I disable it cause the Shift + Enter menu it's permanently enabled and cannot be disabled.
lambient1988 Posted July 8, 2014 Author Posted July 8, 2014 Disabled SkyLighting, still having the same issue. Here's a better video of my problem.
AstarteN7 Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Try changing this setting in your ENB series ini. EnableVolumentricRays= False
Testificateguy Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 To disable SkyLighting, open enbseries.ini (Skyrim root folder) and find EnableSkyLighting=true . Change true to false. Save and play. -And make sure your GPU drivers are up to date.

Testificateguy Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Hmmm. Does this problem occur on other ENBs? Try the plain default ENB that comes with 0.254 . You could also try backing-up/moving SkyrimPrefs and Skyrim ini files and seeing if the default settings also have this issue.

I am not sure, I reinstalled Skyrim and only installed the mods which where recommended and essential on the RealVision ENB page and absolutely nothing else. Got the default ENB and using it right now and going to install RealVision ENB soon but just one question before I do that. Is the following supposed to happen? Look at the coasts of the river far away. They are shining. And the coast near me is blue. This is the only thing I need to make sure before I install RealVision ENB.
lambient1988 Posted July 9, 2014 Author Posted July 9, 2014 Fixed the problem in the above post by reducing water textures to 512. Seems my graphic card does not support 1024 water textures. Anyways, one final question. How do I reduce amount of grass? Cause it's just making my game lag too much. That's the only thing making my game lag.
...0... Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Use performance ENB and lite textures if your system is low end others wise this flickering happens your Vram is to low. Use Skyrim HD textures instead of Bethesda HD texture believe me the Skyrim HD is way more efficient and better looking then Bethesda ones.
AstarteN7 Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Also, make sure you enable bfloat in your skyrimprefs.ini. Delete the one found in your Skyrim directory and use the one that is in your document folder.
lambient1988 Posted July 9, 2014 Author Posted July 9, 2014 Also, make sure you enable bfloat in your skyrimprefs.ini. Delete the one found in your Skyrim directory and use the one that is in your document folder. It's always been enabled. Okay guys, I solved all the problems. Firstly, I reinstalled Skyrim and installed RealVision ENB mods as the first thing. (That fixed the flickering) Then I reduced water textures to 512 cause my graphic card doesn't support 1024 textures. (That fixed the water flickering) The wings were the one responsible for all the extra lens glare, so that was taken care of. Just one final question. My character's skin doesn't look quite good enough. Is there any way to solve that? I have installed CBBE and XP32 Maximum Skeleton.
Testificateguy Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 From memory, the default CBBE texture isn't the most HD texture you can get. So that may be one "issue". Another thing is your monitor's resolution. You will need to get a higher resolution monitor before you can really see any improvements at this point. 1280x1024 is considered "low res". But since you got the ENB working properly things should be smooth sailing now, and if you do upgrade to a new monitor things should work just fine at a high resolution.

I just needed a better body skin.
