[Idea] No restraint is perfect if the restrained can still move on feet

Leg and feet restraints has long been developed. Armbinder of DDI has opened a way of dynamically changing the movement animation I believe.

How about take a step further? Make the restrained a worm!

Technically, this mod need to replace the rest of the movement animation with a new set dynamically. Variants like jump, worm, jump then fall to worm, hogtied worm, etc.

How the animation for the armbinder works is something completely different from what you suggest.

In the case of the armbinder the animations are the normal animation it's just that (part of the) arms are being kept behind the back. And the lower part like hands are temporarily deleted. The animation also isn't new, it is very close to bound animation used at the start of the game and for prisoners walking with an imperial soldier group etc.

Closest to what you want is the hogtied animation where you just lie on the floor until you escape your bindings. But that one already exists.

What the person is talking about is adding animation to leg binding here you have to move like a worm for having you legs bound together and you chest on the ground or hoping and falling for you leg together. IE how you would move if you leg where bound tightening together where you couldn't walk. Talk is a nice Idea and i would love to see leg version of armbinders.

No, the crawling animation won't help, as what is needed is bound animations, not crawling ones. So you will first need to convince an animator to create a new set of animations. Then a modder to create the mod. Possibly a modeler to create new restraint meshes to work with the new animations. All in all a lot of work from a team of people.

Then the question becomes who will use the mod, beyond the initial "Oh, neat, I am helpless now." If the PC can't (effectively) move or interact, what will the PC do? Just sit and stare at the screen and hope something interesting wanders into view? Spend half an hour real time holding down the 'W' key to travel a short distance?

This could possibly work as something to use in scripted scenes where the PC isn't supposed to move at all. But we already have various devices and animation to hold the PC in place completely immoble, so what is incentive to put all this work in worm animations that won't actually be used (player held immobile by the scene anyway)?
