modtaken Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 I installed the Framework mod and everything seemed to be working. Script Extender happy. FNIS happy. Started playing and nothing unusual about combat or talking with NPCs. Until I entered a bar and looked around. I noticed the bartender's hands were about a foot above the bar, instead of normally resting on the bar. His feet were fine and on the floor, but his hands were not in the right place to be touching the bar. So I looked around some of the rooms where people sleep. I see NPCs hovering above their beds by the same foot of height, and offset a bit so their heads are not quite on the pillow. What would be causing this? Removing this mod and all the scripts, etc. fixed the issue. Nice piece of work btw. I can't complain much a tall, just don't know what to do about this weird hovering anomaly.
modtaken Posted July 6, 2014 Author Posted July 6, 2014 Well, I did something that I didn't expect to work. I talked to the bartender and it was funny because his body shrank to I guess was the proper skeleton or something, and now everything lines up. And the people hovering while sleeping magically fixed themselves. This is a side effect of changing skeletons?

When you ran FNIS did it indicate that you should be checking one of the skeleton patches and did you check the patch?
modtaken Posted July 7, 2014 Author Posted July 7, 2014 The arm patch thingy? Yes, I did check that. And all seemed to work fine after I spoke to at least one NPC that was... "afflicted". I think the game kind of corrected itself. I might have been using another skeleton and had overwritten it due to some other thing I added from Nexus. I'm learning to do just one at a time. But my tendency is to do everything at once.

MO allows you to see all the conflicting files among its vast bag of tricks and it allows you to override conflicts on a file by file basis if you want (i.e. when two mods replace the same file you can easily pick which one gets used and swap back if you test and decide the other way was better).
