llab Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 (1) Most lovers mods go before/higher in the load order than loverswithpk.esp which in turn goes before your bashed patch. If you don't do this mods will work incorrectly e.g. npcs will fail to trigger conversation, wrong text displayed etc etc. [other lovers mods] lovers with pk.esp loversmb2.esp lovers3dorgasmmb2.esp bashed patch.esp loversbitch.esp loverscreature.esp loversanimobjectpriority.esp loversidleanimspriority.esp lovers3dorgasm.esp (2) Never use quick or auto save ever. This will eventually cause crashes of oblivion.exe or obse dll.
gregathit Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Well, you were pretty close on the load order. However many more mods can and should go between lovers with pk.esp and the bashed patch. See this thread and then click on the technical assistance spoiler then the example load order spoiler for more details: http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=2810 Also from the bashed patch down should look like this: bashed patch.esp loversmb2.esp lovers3dorgasmmb2.esp loversidleanimspriority.esp lovers3dorgasm.esp loversanimobjectpriority.esp Tip 2 is true on not using them. However, what they usually do is cause save game corruption which indeed does make your game increasing unstable.
llab Posted January 31, 2012 Author Posted January 31, 2012 Yep that seems to work just as well. It's confusing there's lots of conflicting advice as to where to put loverswithpk.esp and the bashed patch. Maybe DONT USE QUICK SAVE can be stickied somewhere? I've played oblivion for a long while with obse and I guess I didn't encounter such issues as the scripts were less complicated? I made this thread because I didn't see a clear instruction in the faq, that's all
gregathit Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 No problem, few if any on this site will critise someone trying to help. There are a few different opinions and to a degree as long as they are somewhat close there should be no major problems. The problem is that few (beside you) ever bother to read the FAQ. I would venture that more than 3/4 of my posts are repeats of previous posts, which are a repeat of the FAQ or the other guides listed. I guess the saying that there is no rest for the wicked is true after all Oh, if you were not aware there is a program that will take the place of autosaves with no save game corruption or bloating. It is called Streamline: http://tes.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=10400 use version 3.1 open beta.
