tyrfing214 Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Please help me experienced modders! I've been obsessed with creating my own mod for some time now and I cannot fully grasp the knowledge of creating a custom head mesh, face part etc. The main frustration I have is how do I make my custom head mesh appear the same in game? I mean, for example, I have an extracted Soul Calibur Tira head mesh. I want her head mesh the same and I mean around 90% the same as the xbox 360 game. Can anyone please, enlighten me? (textures are not a problem) And how the hell do you create a new eye shape, eyebrow, mouth shape?! Armors and Swords I can create, but head meshes and face parts? *head explode* (I have worked with .tri, obj etc and used 3ds Max, Nifscope and more to achieve this but totally epic fail)
blabba Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 You basically use scripts and tools to make an exported .obj as a .tri file. There's the Animation N2 tools you can use to do this. Expired (creator of RM) also wrote some nifty 3dsmax script for natively manipulating tri files available here: http://pastebin.com/WbWwwXpK I'll be writing a tutorial on how to use it and his BSD script later when I finish my own mods.
tyrfing214 Posted July 4, 2014 Author Posted July 4, 2014 Thank you for replying! Jesus Christ! The script looks totally way off my capabilities! I cannot even begin to read and imagine what library he is using. Seems very advanced and skilled in 3d and programming. I cannot wait for your tutorial! I will be following your progress! Meanwhile I'm thinking of ways to get around the things I want done in my mods. More reverse engineering I must say...
