Cannot get Animal Animation to work.

I can't seem to get animal animations to work. I've fiddled it with a few days, and I've gotten it to work before, but after installing a bunch of mods it doesn't seem to want to work anymore.

 

I have run this through FNIS and BOSS, so I'm not sure what is wrong. I suspect it might be the same thing that's causing SexLab Animal Sex to cause the game to crash at the title screen.

 

EDIT2: After looking around and finding out a better way to show what might be going on I have a Papyrus log attached. It ends with a werewolf showing up and just standing there.

I'm here to report the same issue, it looks like it started after I did my mass update (SexLab 1.39b -> 1.57, SKSE 1.06.16 -> 1.70, FNIS 4.1.1 -> 5.0.2), but I am not quite sure; I can't remember when I last saw a creature animation.

 

His Papyrus log has the exact same error I've been having:

 

"-- SexLab -- NOTICE: ValidateActor(Werewolf) -- FALSE -- They are a creature that is currently not supported (WerewolfBeastRace)"

 

I've got creature animations enabled in sexlab, all the individual animations enabled, FNIS Creature Pack 5.0.2 is installed and FNIS is "Reading FNISCreatureVersion V5.0.2" and "SexLabCreature V?.?"

 

I'd noticed Sexlab Enchantress was not causing any creature animations to start with, but I only knew I had a problem when a bestiality related quest from Radiant Prostitution was not working, i.e. all the Werewolf and wolf NPC's were standing around doing nothing.

 

This is the first thread on the issue I came across, but it was closed before anything was really done as the user had a pirated copy of Skyrim, but everything they were reporting in that thread seems to be happening to me and OP here.

 

So, while typing up this post I decided I'd try a few more things, just so I could say I've tried everything. I loaded up my current save current save, and was trying to start some animations just to build a useful papyrus log, using Hentai Creatures to start the animations. To prove I had the animations installed, I went to SexLab's "Rebuild & Clean" panel and Reset the Animation Registry. I got the two notifications for Character and Creature animations being detected. Checked the Papyrus log and they were indeed all there. Lo and behold when I go to start an animation... it works.

I made a new game to see if the animations worked with a fresh save and they were all fine, so I doubt there is any real issue with SexLab that needs to be addressed, just need to let people know to rebuild the animation registry if they get the same problem. And if that doesn't work, well then I can't help you.

Resetting animation registry worked for me, thanks for solution!

I am having a similar issue, during beast animations, the animal just stands in it's default idle while the human animates fine, resetting the animation registry has now made even the human stop animating.
