Kestrel77 Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 yo boys and girls i have i little question about mod organizer 1.2.5.As you know, version 1.2.5 introduced a small patch and it is good: D, but I have a little dilemma, what to do in a situation like in the screen? As you can see I have over 70 mods (for now: D) and some mods (those which are marked) overwritten files with files from official DLCs. What can I do now? Does hide files from the official DLCs and change the priority, or do nothing and leave it as it is?.
Kestrel77 Posted June 25, 2014 Author Posted June 25, 2014 so, nothing to do with these files? no hide or change prority only move them to the top?
gvman3670 Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Let me ask, what do want to overwrite what? Those conflicts aren't necessarily bad, they're just pointing out that something is being overwritten. Overwrites can be good or bad. To find out whether those are good or bad ones just double click the mod's name and check the conflicts tab. It'll point what overwrites are occurring. If you want those files overwritten move them above what overwrites them and if you don't want the overwritten move them below what you want them to overwrite. MO is beautiful.

Guest Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 DLCs should be high in your install priority order, especially important when you're running their BSAs as loose files, otherwise you will logically undo the desirable changes other mods make to DLC assets. If for some reason you want to preserve some parts of the DLC content that would otherwise be altered by subsequent mods in the list you'd obviously have to hide the corresponding changes those mods make on a per file basis. Same goes for the unofficial patches, though that can be a lot trickier to judge since they get updated more frequently than a lot of mods do, so their changes can often cause mods below them to become either partially or sometimes even completely redundant. It's especially crucial to get nailed down properly if you happen to want to use MO's nifty new auto-fix feature, otherwise you could end up with your DLCs in all sorts of unorthodox positions as I did when I first used it.
gvman3670 Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Yup, DLCs and the Unofficial Patches should be at the top of your list and in the order they were released (Dawnguard, HF then Dragonborn).
odineado Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 Click the exclamation mark on top right and it will tell you what's wrong in your priority orders and how to fix them. v.1.2.5(now the newest is v.1.2.6) introduces a new function: in the pop-out window, you can click the button on top right to let MO fix all the problems for you, its in beta though. I looked your screenshots those files are overwritten are either textures or meshes. Those are meant to be overwritten to make your skyrim look better! So no worries. If you install whole bunch of replacer mods it will definitely be showing you a whole lot of base game or DLC's assets being overwritten.
Kestrel77 Posted June 27, 2014 Author Posted June 27, 2014 k guys thanks for answer I appreciate it!!!
