Guest Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 I'm rather new to Skyrim modding, and, having lurked this site for a little while, have decided that the best way to look for mods would be to ask you guys! I'm looking for mods that will make the game much prettier, immerse, and so forth. So please, give me your best!
Nergui Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 That's a pretty broad question. Before you do anything, read this page - http://afkmods.iguanadons.net/index.php?/topic/3980-modding-guide-wipz/ (it's a work in progress, but the important first steps are there) Then, get LOOT. This will sort your mods. Next, the unofficial patches Unofficial Skyrim patch This and the next three will fix a lot of errors and bugs in the game. Only get these if you have the DLCs Unofficial Dawnguard patch Unofficial Hearthfires patch Unofficial Dragonborn patch Next Skyrim script extender - This is required by a lot of mods. This includes... SkyUI This replaces the UI to something more suitable for PC. After this a body replacer. I have no recomendation for this as it depends a lot on one's tastes. THen any clothing replacers or addons that appeal to you. Other people will have suggestions as well.

I've looked at a few mods (I also posted this on the Adult mod section of the site) and I've got to say - I've got a personal preference to be a bit lazy and tend to use Nexus Mod Manager to handle installations, since as I said, I'm rather new and don't want to mess anything up. Here's a shameless plug to the other post, just in case you've any further recommendations. http://www.loverslab.com/topic/33046-your-recommended-adult-mods/
Akzyra Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 And as always: Take you time and please try Mod Organizer. Its harder than NMM but 9001 times better. You can set it up to download from Nexus, and install archives you donwloaded from LL or other sites. With MO you can't really mess stuff up (Need to fail hard time fro that). You can un/intsall mods without worry (Except Save Game Corruption, thats a different topic; Just leave mods with script and only intsall if sure you will never remove them.) Well thats alot of information. There is lot written already about it so search and read it it.
