EdinMG Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 If you are referring to scripts, you can use this tool, it's very simple to use it, but if you are going to use it, read the instructions carefully... http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363
love this game 1993 Posted June 17, 2014 Author Posted June 17, 2014 left over files not from the save file but from the game itself when you uninstall a mod
Killikrates~2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 1. Delete local files 2. Reinstall Skyrim 3. Use Mod Organizer Other methods are just making life harder than it needs to be.
Nergui Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Even before installing Mod Organizer or anything else, make a copy of the newly installed Skyrim. Right-click on the game's folder and hold, drag to another location, release and select "Copy Here" from the menu. Then just copy back to restore the game to vanilla at any time. IMPORTANT -> DO NOT try to run the game from that location, it's purely for a backup. <- IMPORTANT Something else worth mentioning, but this will take a lot longer to fix if it's already in place. Don't install Steam to the default location (in Program Files). Better to custom install to C:/Steam or another drive (D:/Steam or E:/Steam or etc). "C:/Program Files/" and "C:/Program Files (x86)/" are OS protected and can do weird things to games, especially when modding.
Veladarius Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 The other way is to open the zip file for the mod so you know what and where the files are and manually remove them yourself.
