Should I install KotN over my current OB installation or start over?

Is it safe to just install KotN and the uop for it over my current OB install or will it likely mess up something and I should start from scratch?

You should be safe installing KotN.

 

I don't really recommend UOP myself as I run OOO and don't need it.  

Remember that you will have to archive invalidate after installing KotN.

If you do install UOP, then you will likely have to rebuild your bashed patch.

 

I'd make a backup copy of your current data folder "just to be safe".  Use 7zip to shrink it down some.

if 7zip takes too long, you might opt to simply zip it (or tell 7zip to use "fastest" compression setting) - it won't save as much, but for something as big as oblivion, you might prefer speed over space if you have lots of free space.

is safe to install KotN and in the load order is first is all esm. then DLC. then the other mods. here in LL you can fine some help for your load order.
