Working on a mod for Fallout 3. I'm trying to change Initiate Jennings' (the dead BOS Soldier outside GNR) armor to a different version of power armor that I've created. I've altered the leveled list he uses to a new leveled list that includes only my new armor, however he still ends up wearing regular power armor in game. I've also tried removing the leveled list and just adding my armor to his inventory, but then I get him wearing the regular power armor with my new armor in his inventory. I've got to be missing something. Is there something special I need to do to change the armor he's wearing?

There's only 1 thing returned when searching for "Jennings" in the geck - MQ01JenningsDead is what I'm editing

I think you should load GNR cell and find his body.. Then you double click on it and add your armor to his inventory directly. He might not even use leveled item list. Even if he has leveled item instead of armor you can delete it and give him armor.

I actually did initially find his body by loading the cell and directly clicking on it. I've tried removing his leveled list and just adding the armor to his inventory. For some reason, he still ends up wearing his initial armor, he just gets the armor I give him in his inventory. He only has one armor (and no leveled lists) in geck, but in game his inventory has his original armor equiped plus he's carrying what I gave him.

Just for the record - did you reenter the cell?

And if you did - you can do disable\enable on him. If you really changed his items in GECK he should spawn with them.

And if this doesn't help - try starting new game. Then as soon as you started "Future imperfect" quest, "coc" to GNR and see if he still has vanilla armor on him.

Thanks, tomm434. I was using the autosave from when I first entered the area. Going back to an earlier save did the trick.
