Shaman110 Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Hey guys, I'm new to LL and its all a bit overwhelming. I'm just curious to see what you guys might suggest I download or do first? I'm very interested in some of the Adult & Non-Adult mods but there's just so much going on in between that I cant seem to figure it all out. What I'm basically getting at is, Is there any mods I should check out first that you would recommend?? All suggestions welcome, please help me out here.
Thulas Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 First of all get the framework SexLab. On its own it does nothing, but then again we can't take the decission for you what you like and enjoy; is there something in specific you search for, like prostitution, combat rape, pregnancy or similar things?
XJ347 Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 You forgot to add consensual sex addons. =p What I suggest you do! Get Mod Organizer!!!!! There is a guide on how to use it somewhere on this site. After that, then get Sexlab, FNIS(manual install but run it through MO), Schlongs of Skyrim. Body mod of your choice, and a Sexlab addon of your choice. Start slow and then build upon what you have that is stable. I almost never use Sexlab, other than for screenshots but it is nice to have. It is nice to set up combat rape on death, so instead dying, your character gets raped and left for dead, think that is sexlab defeat. A good role play aspect for sexlab... Or you can add sex scenes with your married partner mod... Swear there is one.
Emberheart Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 I ended up here after finding a mod on Nexus which allowed you to capture enemies after they'd yield, to sell to a bounty contractor. That mod was outdated and so I sought after a similar mod, which landed me on LoversLab. The defeat and submit mods were close enough and the spouse-interaction mod appealed to me because as I roleplayer I wanted to be able to kiss the spouse and more. Rather funny is that I had seen the LoversLab forum several times for several years before, but I always immediately dismissed it for a Second Life forum. I connected the title of Lovers Lab (LL) to the company Linden Lab, the makers of Second Life. I kept seeing screenshots here of non-lore clothes (glasses, sweaters, PVC boots, you name it) and I had not heared of ENB yet, so I did not recognize all the alternate lighting. I simply assumed they were Second Life screenshots, a game which prominently features furries and fashion clothes. Not like Second Life a bit, I for years clicked LoversLab away when seeing it, thinking it to be somthing entirely different. Then when I found the defeat and submit mods were hosted here I took time to browse this forum to see if it also hosted Skyrim content besides Second Life content. Then I found out it was all about the Elder Scrolls and not Second Life at all. I obviously stuck around since. Start with the basics. SexLab, Arousal and maybe a sex through dialogue mod. Perhaps the community should have a vote someday on which mods would make a good 'starter pack' and that pack could be headlined on the site as a suggested download if you want to try LoversLab content while being left with a great first impression of the site and its content.
Guest airdance Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Just a question....why would anyone recommend the sexlab framework to a newbie. Even for experienced people it is a pig to install and rarely works. You have to be connected to Steam to run it, and if anything gets updated it will not run. Both FNIS and SKSE tend to be the source of all the trouble, so a newbie would have to master them before they even get to play. When a person asks what mods would be good to try out, like a bunch of teenage boys, you go for the immersive sex mods right away. Shaman110 Start with the non-adult mods first, they are more stable and the animations are not outsourced. Once you get them working and you feel confident, then you might want to follow the advice of my esteemed brethren here on the forum, I may chastise them, but they are the kindest, intelligent, and most helpful people you will find on any forum anywhere. Another source of MODS is Nexus, but if you go there and use the forums be very careful what you say and how you say it that ban people for the slightest comment. Make sure you check out a mod very carefully before loading it and pay attention to the advice about mod organizers, this will make your experience much more enjoyable. Welcome to LL.

It depends, how experienced at modding are you? Also what exactly are you wanting to get out of your game? There is a lot of mods on this site and some over lap but in different ways and some are very different. So it is hard to suggest anything with out knowing what you are looking for. I mean it wouldn't help to suggest a combat rape mod if you have no interest in the topic, same with a prostitution mod etc.
