Need help regarding BBP/TBBP.

Okay, so I've been modding my Skyrim for quite some time now. I have at least 150 mods installed at any given time, and am always searching for new ones. The one thing I'm consistently disappointed in, is my lack of ability to have the exact female body I want.

I prefer CBBE because it's just curvy enough for me but just slim enough as well. I also really really like the custom vanilla CBBE clothing replacer mods I have, as it turns almost all armor extremely skimpy, and the only thing they wear on their lower-half is a thong. I really like that.

The problem I'm having is, I would like to continue using the same body type I currently use, but I want breast physics (possibly butt physics as well, if it doesn't look terrible). Every single time I have tried installing TBBP/BBP (and to be honest, I have no clue what the difference is) I've failed miserably and have had to revert back to basic. So my goal is:

To continue using CBBE or a CBBE-like body type WITH breast physics.
Skimpy armor similar to the armor mods I'm using, but with added breast physics.
And to figure out what exactly HDT does for me and if I should get it or not.

Could someone be kind enough to help me with this? I dont know which skeleton to get, which body type to use, what to install, in what order to install it, or how to get them to work with the custom armor mods I'm using.
I know that's probably asking a lot of you guys, but if it's possible, I would really appreciate a step-by-step list (with links to mods if possible {if you're feeling generous}).

Thanks so much for your time, in advance.

bbp has a bone node for each buttoch and each breast so 4 extra in total tbbp (tender breast bounce) has 2 bone nodes per breast but the butt nodes like bbp.  bbp gives it side to side movment it seems and tbbp gives up and down bounce plus the side to side bbp gives.  use HDT with a bbp or tbbp body along with tbbp animations from butterfly and also use the xpm32 skeleton.

I appreciate your answer but simply telling me "use hdt with a bbp or tbbp body along with animations" is just as confusing as before. I don't know which body supports what. That's another reason I've been having a hard time with it. Does CBBE support TBBP?

Posted

No, the regular CBBE body doesnot have BBP or TBBP support. You need to use the BodySlider tool to generate a BBP or TBBP version. It is quite intuitive once you open the program. Only these BBP- or TBBP-enabled body meshes will exhibit HDT Havok physics.

Posted

Hm. So which body would you recommend, along with which custom clothing/armor? And does that xp32 (or whatever it's called) skeleton support all body types?

Posted

Actually I have seen a few versions of the UNP body that look really nice, and I wouldn't mind switching to that. I was browsing through the mods on this site earlier and I saw a custom body mod someone had made that looked really good too. Medium-sized breasts, wide hips and medium butt. I actually really liked it. And in the video (it was of the girl dancing) I could clearly see that it supported TBBP.

You may start by using Bodyslide/Outfit studio.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49015

You can generate exact CBBE body that support BBP/TBBP/HDT by select CBBEAdvanceTBBP sliderset.

Once you use body generated by the mod, you are almost ready for BBP/TBBP/HDT (breast/butt bounce).  I recommend HDT.

However, you should use skeleton that compatible with it.  I recommand this one.

When you have both body and skeleton, you are ready for HDT.  :D

I can give you a few thread of HDT.

I just know that if I go trying to mess with bodyslide, I'm going to royally screw it up. Is there a UNP-type body that supports HDT?
Also, why is HDT preferred over the others?

Sorry for asking so many questions, but I literally have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to this. I usually just download a body mod, install it, download armor/clothing mod, install it, and boom I'm done. Now I need a skeleton, physics mod, a body that supports it and armor/clothing mod that supports bounce.

I just want the best possible experience.

EDIT: And as you can see, I'm new to this site, and don't have any mods from here. So if there are any prerequisites from the site to download these things, I don't have 'em.

What I really need is something like this:

"The closest approximation to the body type you're looking for, that also works with physics mods, would be ______ (insert link here)."
"Next, this is the physics mod I recommend: ______"
"Finally, here are some great armor mods that are able to be used with both of these previous mods: ______ _______ ______."

"NOW, this is the order you install them in: _______."

I'm also a bit confused as to what I'd do about my current body and armor stuff. Since I've been using CBBE for so long, I have many MANY custom armor mods (Nightingale Prime, Arise: Chapter 1, Thalmor Inquisitor Armor, etc.). Does this mean I would simply have to reinstall every single custom armor mod for the new body type, and/or just get rid of some because they won't mesh with my TBBP/HDT physics mod?

What I can tell is "YES", if you change your body replacer - you'd better uninstall currect armor mod for old body type and install ones that support new body type instead.  You may not want to do that but some armor may have clipping effect because their base body and your current body are different.

Why I advice CBBE with Bodyslide?

Because you already use CBBE for a long time and seem to satisfy with the shape and armor mods.  To get bounce, using HDT will be shortest/easiest way for you (it will not work if the armor you have not support at least BBP).  If you want to try UNP, bodyslide even have UNP sliderset for you to try as well.

I really appreciate all your advice. Really.

Okay, so I made my mind up. I want to try UNP/UNBP with HDT if possible. Any advice on that? I'll find my own armor mods and stuff. I was just wondering about getting the skeleton and HDT physics installed.

EDIT: Sorry about adding more and more questions, but I was just looking at the HDT mods and now I'm even more confused...
Which HDT mod do I install in order to gain breast physics? There are so many. And which skeleton goes with it? xp32?

Posted

Have no idea for UNP, didn't use them myself.  Let other UNP fans suggest.  :)

HDT is a SKSE plugin that let you (or anyone able to customize its xml file) to change bouncing/collision of any object (body, hair, cloth,..).

You just need the dll file and xml that package with it to have bouncing, however other customized xml file will have more function for collision and other object than just body bounce.

The recommended skeleton in my first reply work perfectly with HDT (or BBP/TBBP if you still prefer them).

Okay, I got the skeleton file. Now I just need a link to the HDT mod I should download. I went to the link you posted for HDT earlier, but it's a huge page with a ton of information on it. It's telling me I need something called dragonfly, and a ton of other things. What should I get?

Posted

No, Dragonfly is the author of animation that support TBBP.

However, with HDT you don't need any BBP/TBBP animation.  Any animation should get bounce from HDT if the body you use support BBP/TBBP already (has weight painted).

Both links I gave should have download link for its package in the OP.   Some may have other mods like for earring, hair, cloth which you should skip at the moment.  Focus on HDT physics.

You can try to start with HDT All In One 14.28 version (Edit 4 by Daie).rar in the first link.  It has every files needed in 1 package.

Yes. If you would like to go to a UNP body type there is a new version of the base UNP body that supports TBBP/HDT. I am using it now and it's wonderful.

This is the body.... http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/21199/?

You can use ANY UNP variant textures, but I like FSC Univion Sweaty personally. Take your pick in that regard, but you can't use the CBBE textures you have now.

The skeleton is here.... http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/676-xp32-maximum-skeleton-extended/

Skimpy but tasteful minidresses for UNP.... http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/47376/?

Full vanilla armor replacer, nice and skimpy like you described.... http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34160/?

And Brokefoot's armor mashup for UNP.... http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/20415/?

And HDT files that work GREAT with that body.... http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/974-havok-breast-physic-xml-files-for-beginners/

Here are the walk/run TBBP and standing idle animations that I use with this combo.... TBBP Walk and Run.7z and Sexy Idle 1.7z These folders are set up so you can easily drop them into NMM, MO or even unzip them and put them into your Skyrim folder manually.

With this body and these armor/clothing packs you can walk around with your character's sweet ass and titties just a bouncing and wiggling (the HDT file has three bounce levels ready to use).

As for installation order, just install the body, the animations, then the custom skeleton. The skeleton is ALWAYS last. Always. Just to be sure it isn't getting overwritten. Clothing and textures won't make any difference so they can be added in any order. The HDT file I linked gives 3 bounce options and all you do is add the .xml file to Skyrim/data/SKSE/plugins and install the Havok Object .esp (just read the instructions on that page to confirm this).

And here's a pic of the UNP TBBP/HDT body at maximum weight so you could a lot thinner if you wanted to (or even bigger with the RM or ECE sliders).

Dude, that is exactly what I needed. Thank you SO MUCH! I'm fairly sure I'll be able to handle this easily now. I really really appreciate it.

I'll have to get to it and try it later, but as for right now I'm just going to uninstall my armor/clothing/body/texture mods. I'll have to re-download UNP version later.

However, since that body you're using is much thicker than normal UNP bodies, will it still work with normal UNP armor mods? Does it, like, "conform" the body to fit inside the armor when you're wearing it, but switch back to default if you go naked?

Again, it's so awesome that you did all that for me. That was exactly what I needed to know.

Okay so I'm still confused about a couple things, just on the what to download end of things.

I don't need to download the regular Dimonized UNP blah blah blah first right? Just go to that UNP link you gave me and get those two files? When I went to download it it warned me that I needed "Dimonized UNP female body mod", so I'm a bit confused.

As for the skeleton, I download and unpacked it, but when I open the folder there's like 50 different folders in there, so I have no idea what to do. Like there's literally a bunch of folders inside the skeleton one, all named different stuff.

For the HDT physics page, there are four download links on the page you linked:

  • Havok Breast Physic _Dawnguard.7z
  • 1.53KB Download    Havok Breast Physic _Dragonborn.7z
  • 11.96KB Download    Havok Breast Physic.7z
  • 2.01MB Download    XML for Beginners.7z

Do I download all of them? All four?

Oh and one last thing, can you link me to the UNP Sweaty texture you were talking about?

EDIT: I counted again, and the skeleton folder has 128 folders in it. What am I supposed to do with all of these? They all have a "meshes" folder inside them.

Sorry for so many posts but I keep updating my progress.

So, I installed the UNP body you linked me to, and I also installed SG Texture Renewal wet body texture, along with both armor mods and the minidress mod you gave me.
I also installed the HDT physics mods by following the directions.

The ONLY problem I'm having now is figuring the skeleton out. The skeleton folder has so many subfolders in it, I don't know what to do with all of that. Once I get the skeleton file installed, that's it right? I'm good to play? Or do I need to run GenerateFNISForUsers.exe?

Posted

I downloaded and installed everything in the order you told me to. I figured out the skeleton thing. But now, when I try to load any save file, my game just crashes to desktop with no error message. I made sure havok breast physics.esm and .esp are both enabled, as well as the havok dawnguard and dragonborn.esps.

EDIT: Tried starting a new game and that crashed it too.

Alright, I tried uninstalling the stuff you gave me and it still won't let me load my games or start a new one. And now BOSS won't even detect that Skyrim is installed. I have no idea why. I guess if I don't hear from you soon I'm going to delete everything and start with a new install of Skyrim. Then I'll try to install the stuff you gave me again.

EDIT: I'm so confused now. I don't even know what to do anymore. I just loaded my game by opening Skyrim without using SKSE/NMM. I just ran the Skyrim.exe file and it loaded. But my character is using a custom race (Succubus) so my skin and texture were the same as before, AND there was no breast physics. It has to have something to do with the physics mods you gave me, or the skeleton. I'm not sure which. But I AM willing to start a brand new game and just use the Nord race, but it won't even let me do that if I launch using NMM. I could really use some help.

EDIT 2: These are the HDT mods I downloaded and installed (from that link you sent me):
XML for beginners.
Havok Breast Physic
Havok Breast Physic_Dawnguard
Havok Breast Physic_Dragonborn

Then I put the skeleton .rar into the NMM folder and installed it using NMM, selecting all of the default options and saying "yes I'm using HDT physics". Did I install the wrong thing, not enough things, or what?

I'm in a rush so I can just tell you that the texture is on the UNP Top Model page at Nexus. Pretty easy to find.

The skeleton has a Bain/Fomod installer so you can choose the options. Manual installs will be pretty hard with that. I use Mod Organizer so it was an easy installation. But NMM would work, too.

For the HDT I didn't grab the DB or DG files, just the Havok Physics and the XML files.

Move your save folder to a safe spot (like dragging it to your desktop) then delete the folder at documents/my games/Skyrim (the whole Skyrim folder). Then run the vanilla launcher to set up a new one and start a new character. Now install those things in the suggested order. Use a mod manager to install them with the skeleton being dead last (always last). Skeletons are finicky. Only the XML needs to be manually placed in the Skyrim/data/SKSE/plugins folder.

My best guess is that your crashes are related to trying to manually install the skeleton? Any skeleton issues or missing files will cause crashes at startup.

Good luck.

I'd also like to point out that if you've been using NMM and manual installs all along this probably isn't going to work too well. This is the kind of thing you'll need to do to a fresh install. There is likely countless bits of garbage all over the inside of your Skyrim directory.

So if you do a fresh installation I would STRONGLY suggest switching to Mod Organizer and learning to use it. Then you'll never get a bunch of garbage in, or stuff missing from, your Skyrim folder. Plus you can have multiple profiles/characters (each with their own mods, saves and ini's), you can install just about anything, it can download mods straight from Nexus if you like to do that, and has a whole host of other features. Being able to set up a new character/game in 15 minutes by merely choosing the mods you want to use from your installed list, running LOOT and FNIS, then launching it is priceless in my opinion.
