Compressed inventory

I have a rather bizarre problem, I have my inventory compressed to one line only for anything i try to loot.   If i try to open my inventory the game will crash.

It all started out when i Tried to run Fallout NV with TTW, everything seemed to work fine until i exited Vault 101 and then i would get the compressed inventory on looting stuff.

After disabling all mods and adding one back in at a time I found that MikotoBeauty was the culprit.  I then tried FCO to see if it would work, but I recieved the same problem.  After Disabling FCO everything worked fine.  I did all of Fallout 3 plus the DLC's with no real problems.

But when I traveled to New Vegas and exited Doc Mitchel's house, it broke again.

This time it was :

After removing them everything went back to working, or so i thought.

I did all of the NV DLC's as well as a few of the companion quests, but it has started randomly popping up again.

The first time it happened I was trying to loot a Dead BOS paladin near the Boomers.  But on exiting , reloading the previous save and going through it again no problems this time.  It seems to happen at random times and locations so i can't just disable enable mods to check.

I'm hoping that someone has heard of this problem and can help me track down the real culprit.

You have 148 plug-ins.  For some, around 140 is when games begin to freak out.  Mine freaks out around 100.  If there are some that you aren't using, uninstall them as that inactive mods still count towards your mod limit.

 

Should you wish to keep all of your mods, you'll need to condense them by merging some into a replacer mod (as opposed to making a merged patch).  Half-assed directions here.

Thank you so much for that.  I just merged a bunch of mods so that I am down to

After merging them i copied the originals to a backup folder.

I found FNV plugin Utility on the Nexus to work really well for this.
For a test i created a new char (with Mikoto beauty installed), left Vault 111 and it worked.  So I ran to the train station, visited Doc Mitchell, left and it works.

YAY. 

I'll need to test this out to make sure I didn't lose anything or break anything with the merges.
