SexLabsframework + MCM problem

Hi

My SkyUI MCM all of a sudden stopped working with / detecting  SexLabsFramework yesterday. Since then, I have tried the following steps to fix this, all without any results:

1. Sorted and re-sorted the load order, different load orders

2. Waited in the game for prolonged periods of time as sometimes it takes a while for it to register stuff (about 3-4 days gametime)

3. Used the SetStage command as outlined in the troubleshooting section of the SkyUI readme

4. Uninstalled whole game, deleted all preferences, ini, save files, everything restarted from complete scratch, basically deleted the whole Skyrim Directory and deleted whole Skyrim section under MyDocuments.

5. Deleted whole cache generated by NMM so it had to re-scan and restart from scratch as well.

6. Double and triple checked my SKSE installation

7. Double and triple checked my FNIS installation

8. Reinstalled both SexLabsFramework and SkyUI countless times including manual wipes of anything leftover.

Nothing I have done works so far.

Are there anymore leftover files anywhere on my hard drive that might affect this ? Or is there anything else that I can do about this ?

The funny thing is MCM actually registers all the other SexLabs plugins I have, mainly TDFProstitution, Squirt and Cumshot, but not the Framework itself. So MCM works, no matter what I plug-in / install it picks it right up, except SexLabs main mod.

Any ideas ?

Really need help on this one.

Thank You

Do the menus load correctly in a new game? There may be some left-over scripts in your existing save that are mucking things up.

Are you certain you are using SKSE 1.7.0 (the alpha build)?

It can take several minutes for MCM to update after using setStage SKI_ConfigManagerInstance 1 and the menus may not all register in the same pass so be sure to hang around until you're sure it's finished. Using the wait menu doesn't speed things up.

This is a brand new install of the game, I completely wiped everything, deleted whole skyrim install directory, deleted whole skyrim directory in MyDocuments, saves and all config files included, deleted entire NMM cache, ran regedit to clean and get rid of any remaining registry keys pertaining to a Skyrim install, and I am on a brand new save.

yes, I am using SKSE 1.7, double checked by bringing up command console while in the main menu when the game first starts up before even starting or attempting to load.

In the past I have ran into a similar problem with "Better Vampires" mod way back when, the wait function in the game worked on that as SkyUI was waiting on some vampire timer. However, I do not have it installed at all or any vampire mods whatsoever this time around.

the menus all load correctly, no matter which mod I throw at it, tested it by installing and uninstalling some mods, they all work fine and are detected fine, except SexLabsFramework. In fact, I can install any of the SexLabs plugins and they work and their menus work well, but not the main mod, not the framework.

The only thing I can imagine is happening here is that another mod is interfering with SexLab.

Do you have any "non-standard" mods installed?

After all you've done so far to try and get SL working it's a bit hard to suggest but you might need to uninstall everything but SL and its requirements to try and get it working that way. Then, if it works, install your other mods one at a time, testing as you go.

That is what I am doing

In fact, I just reinstalled again. Applying the following mods for start up of a brand new game and nothing else:

SKSE, FNIS

Unofficial Patches for Skyrim, Dawnguard, Dragonborn, Hearthfire, High res pack

XPMS Skele

HDT Physics

Caliente for textures

Apachii hair (the single full)

The ones above should have absolutely nothing to do with what is happening since they have nothing to do with anything other then SKSE for SkyUI andFNIS for generating

After that going to run SkyUI

SexLabsFramework

And nothing else until I see SexLabs in the MCM

then my 3rd mod for this will be Zaz

We'll see what happens

I finally manged to come up with a workaround for this. I have not solved or identified root cause of the existing problem, but did get my game to work.

Basically, what happens is that anytime I install any MCM using mod whatsoever prior to SexLabsFramework, SexLabsFrameWork will not register in the MCM. It is installed, I get the message in the upper left corner of the screen etc. but it will not show up in the MCM no matter what.

In addition, if I install any MCM using mod while game is already in progress pass the Helgen Cinematic part, SexLabsFramework disappears from MCM and consequently does not get registered by Zaz animations or any other mod that uses it.

All mods which do not use MCM do not affect this.

I finally got it all to work, by installing SkyUI, then SexLabsFramework and no other MCM using mod on the cinematic part as soon as the game starts saving and registering the UI, I spaced it out a bit to give it a minute or so for menu registrations and kept savign each step.

Installed rest of the mods while I was inside Fort Helgen, but before I got out to "Skyrim proper", as changes on already loaded world can also make things unstable.

I should also note that I tried both manual and NMM installations with same results and on completely wiped clean (down to registry) game re-installs.

Hope this helps for anyone else experiencing these sort of issues.

Glad you got it working but I am a little concerned that there is something going on there that will come back to haunt you later in the game.

The only time I've seen anything like this was with early versions of Deviant Devices for the Masses where trying to access its MCM config under certain circumstances would crash the whole MCM preventing access to any mod config.

When encountering a problem like this I would always suggest getting things working normally with a paired down mod set and then installing and testing your other mods one at a time until you come across the one that is causing problems. Obviously this can be pretty arduous but unavoidable without evidence from others seeing the same problem. Using Alternate Start can speed up the process considerably.
