New Zyn animations added in 1.5 do not work, everything else does

Hi,

I upgraded from SexLab 1.3, and amazingly none of my mods broke. However, the new Zyn animations I wanted to see don't work at all - the characters just stand as if the animation could not be found.

I made sure I installed everything properly and ran FNIS for users. I tried several things and can't figure out what is causing it.

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Have you tried resetting, registering the animations in the Sex Lab MCM menu under clean up

You will have to re-register your animations from mods such as ZAZ, Devious Devices after doing this.

I checked CK and the animation events are all there. The animation is registered and everything, but the players just stand there in the default pose, so something is clearly going wrong.

Has anyone else gotten these animations to work?

Edit: A full list of things I have tried -

> Making sure I installed all related files

> Running FNIS for users repeatedly

> Checking CK to make sure the Zyn animations are there

> Re-registering animations and using other clean-up tools

> Reinstalling SexLabFramework entirely, and using a clean save

> Manually removing SexLab scripts from a save and running it

This really is baffling to me.

Edit:

I've tried more:

> Updating other SexLab dependent mods such as ZaZ to the latest version, removing some entirely (TDF Prostitution, e.g)

> Replacing the animation files from SexLab with the ones from Zynich directly to ensure it isn't a corrupted animation file issue

> Running both FNIS for Modders (with the SexLab list) and FNIS for Users.

> Completely starting a new game, manually removing SexLab scripts from a new save with Save Tool.

> Checking Creation Kit, console, and even Papyrus logs for any kind of inconsistencies or errors. There were none.

> Trying different skeletons to see if it's a skeleton issue. It isn't.

This is going from annoying to maddening. I have never had a bug be this persistent before.

What are you using to trigger the animations?

By default pose do you mean the half-T pose or a standing idle animation? If it's the half-T then this may be an FNIS issue.

Holy shit.

I've had some moments in my life where a complicated maddening problem haunts me for days, and ends up being something that is an unlikely combination of trivial things..

This is, by far, the most profound occurrence of that I have ever seen in my entire life. A combination of little things reminding me of Agatha Christie novels.

I didn't spot the issue because I am colorblind, and fixed it because I was wearing polarized glasses. Seriously.

I use a desktop theme that is Windows Classic, but high contrast so that the text is green and everything else is gray or black. I have both red-green and blue-purple colorblindness, along with severe low color acuity, so this color scheme helps me see things better.

When the color scheme combines with FNIS, it causes FNIS to look a little strange. This is the image:

Do you see the text that says what each patch is? Because I don't, unless I look for it.

Every time I add a patch, I have to click the patch to highlight it and see what I'm clicking. It beats changing the color scheme. So, I had 3 patches - Skeleton Arm Fix, New Animation for 1H Weapon, New Animation for Running with Bow. I didn't think anything of them, not when I thought my animations were something I screwed up with blender, not when the Zyn animations didn't work.

Upon seeing Rebel's post, I went back to FNIS and everything looked normal. I got frustrated and started fiddling with things on my desk. I put on a pair of polarized glasses that block blue and especially green light. And that's when I saw it.

Wearing the glasses, the available packages window was no longer creme and green. It was a bright red, and black - because the green text turns black with the polarized glasses. And there it was - PC Exclusive Animation Patch, which I do not have, checked. Right in front of my face for fucking months.

The issue is completely fixed. All of the animations are fixed, including devious devices. Even my custom animations I was working on for Rape Discouragement Mod (Now called Mortal Minds) now work fine, which means that project is back to the green light.

I don't know whether to celebrate or cry.
