skyrimkillmod Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 I have two unskined meshs basically the top half of a woman and the bottom half, i turned them into editable poly then attached them and combined ids. it seems to have worked and now their is just one object instead of 2 , i export it as a nif and when i reload it in 3dsmax or nifskope it is back to its origonal state of being two different objects. im not geting any errors eather.
blabba Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 That's just nif's splitting the UV verts for you again. Completely normal and the source of many a headache for me and nif meshes in general. If you want to 'fix' you have to edit the UV edges before exporting to nif. No matter where you put the UV edges, on nif export those verts will be split apart. That's just the way nifs work. But it should still be classified as 1 object in 3dsMax on nif import.
skyrimkillmod Posted May 30, 2014 Author Posted May 30, 2014 i guess it dosnt really matter just trying to get a profesional finished product, at least it looks like 1 object now after welding the verts and redoing the normals
skyrimkillmod Posted May 30, 2014 Author Posted May 30, 2014 crap just doubled checked and there still is a very small seam, it looks better but still visable :/ any ideas?
