ScreamingSquid218 Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Ive installed the BU armors before and i really enjoyed it. but i was wondering if it was possible to extend this option to Vanilla gear. I like the whole armor breaking over time taking hits, but im not too big of a fan on skimpy armor. What i had in mind was, say the PC is relaxing in the city, wearing normal clothes, when a vampire attacks. Keeping immersion in mind (cant change in 1 second to armor) player pulls out her sword to attack enemy. Vampire scores a couple of hits before it gets killed, and the player's clothes are ripped and or torn in a few places. prompting the PC to discard the ruined clothes or get them repaired. Likewise for the vanilla armor. What do you think?
Mickster Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 You're not the first one to bring this up. JosephGrey was working on this I think. The main issue with such a system is that Skyrim doesn't have weapon/armor durability. So first such a system needs to be implemented which isn't exactly easy given that armor looses any refID once it's in a container, you can only access it through baseID which leads to issues if the player has more than one copy of an armor piece in their inventory.
