Vampire blood boiling ... in Soul Cairn!

I have an oddly glitched vampire PC : among other things I get regeneration blocked in unexpected places. Like Soul Cairn or Deepfall Passage. I wondered if anyone had encountered a similar problem, and if so how they'd fixed it.

 

It all started to go wrong when I let Harkon turn me. Every time I'd turn into a vampire lord the change back reverted to vanilla nord race rather than NordRaceVampire. So no feeding, and everyone in the castle sending me to harkon to get re-vamped. Except for Harkon who didn't seem to notice anything wrong, probably because I still had the vampire lord form for some reason.

 

So I tried doing the companions quests up to the Silver Hand. Turning werewolf cleared the vampirism properly and harkon turned me back into a vampire. That seemed to solve it for a while.

 

Then I was in Soul Cairn and got the message about my blood boiling in the sunlight. I had to wait 14 hours before attacking one of the keepers. Oh, and I can't re-enter Soul Cairn either

 

I think the root of the problem may have been that my PC already had sanginare vampiris when he met Harkon. But that could be a red herring.

 

I suppose I could always talk to Falion. Seems like a waste of a soul gem, but if it works it'll be worth it.

Oh yeah, and every time I lose my vampire race, I lose the night-eye and my bookmark for it. Grr...
