Scarlett Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 So, I'll be honest, Skyrim was the first Elder Scrolls game I played, so I am not a lore-fanatic like some, but from what I can tell from comments and such certain races are racist towards others. So why not implement that more into Skyrim? Such as Orcs taking nords and such and making them slaves/sacrificing them. Or snide comments if you play a certain race. For instance (This may or may not be true, I don't know) let's say you play an orc character, perhaps they can't go into certain cities, or perhaps they can't talk to certain traders depending on their race. Perhaps there's a mod like that, but I mean, it seems like a good idea, and would bring some real immersion into gameplay.

The Orsimer(orcs) are not known for slavery like the Alyieds, Dunmer and Altmer are. There is a lot of Racism between the Nords towards every Mer(elf) and Mer to Humans and Beast races. The ones that heard about not being allowed in the City would be the Khajiit. P.S I know my spelling is bad at parts.
DeepBlueFrog Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 There has been a few threads on that topic. SD includes a racist treatment of the PC during the Coveted effect, but it is limited to sexual abuse and to the PC only. The problem with a stricter enforcement of racial divides in Skyrim is that it would effectively cut a large amount of quests based on your choices. Not necessarily a bad thing thing though I always felt funny walking around Windhelm untouched as a Thalmor or Legionnaire envoy.

Though gone now, the Dwemer used to enslave the Snow Elves, reducing them to the blind, underground haters of the surface as well. Not to mention, if this is relevant, mortals hating the Dremora, Nords hating magic-users (Coincides with the Elven Races adept ability with magic), and certain priests hating certain arts (Necromancy being the common example). I've been trying to learn how to script so I might implement a hardcore version of this, but the lessons are proving to be difficult. CKeditor isn't what I thought it was, so I've struggled just to start the stupid thing...
