StirFriedNoodles Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 So I wanted to play Skyrim today and I opened up skse_loader.exe as usual but this time, it won't open. Like, the process is there but it's stuck at 23,920 K Memory and Skyrim won't show up and I have waited 30 minutes already for it to show up but to no avail it did not, like, any trace of a skyrim window opening up. I tried loading skyrim with the TESV.exe and SkyrimLauncher.exe and they worked just fine (except I do not have mods because I have SKSE based mods).  I tried reinstall SKSE via manual drag and drop from the 7z archive but it still did not work. Can anyone help me with this please?  EDIT: I was playing last night normally and have not installed mods before I closed skyrim. Then this happened today.
Guest Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 It could be mod-related. Yeah, definitely crank up TES5Edit. Open it, make sure all of your mods are checked then click OK. If something is wrong with your load order, it will more then likely let you know.Â
StirFriedNoodles Posted May 22, 2014 Author Posted May 22, 2014 I do not know what to do with this program. lol
MekiNeki Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 What type of third-party programs are you running? For example, I had a similar problem, where Skyrim would crash on start up, but only when I had GameBooster running. (Which is weird.) Â
StirFriedNoodles Posted May 22, 2014 Author Posted May 22, 2014 I do not have GameBooster(I uninstalled that a couple of years ago cus it fuks up most of my games)
TnTTnT Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 You may try to rename *.dll in SKSE\plugins folder to *.bak and change some of them back one at a time. I suspect that some SKSE plugins has problem. Â BTW, did you install/upgrade any mods recently before this problem occur?
StirFriedNoodles Posted May 22, 2014 Author Posted May 22, 2014 I'll try that and no, I did not install any mods before this problem occured Â
StirFriedNoodles Posted May 22, 2014 Author Posted May 22, 2014 I renamed my whole plugins folder and skyrim opened up, gonna rename one by one this time.ThanksTnTTnT
StirFriedNoodles Posted May 22, 2014 Author Posted May 22, 2014 StorageUtil.dll seems to be the culprit... I don't remember installing this one though.
TnTTnT Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 You may try to remove StorageUtil.save first, it is possible that the file is corrupted. StorageUtil.dll is being used by various mods, it possible that some mods you installed put it there.
StirFriedNoodles Posted May 22, 2014 Author Posted May 22, 2014 Thanks so much TnT (I may have posted this on the wrong subforum lol)
