Animations don't work after update

Recommended Posts

I've a similar problem as a few others here. Sexlab animation won't start after updating from another post-1.5.0 update to 1.5.7, no matter which mod tries to initialize them.

FNIS 5.0.2 (including spells and creatures), SKSE 1.7 and the latest SkyUI are installed, I ran Generate FNIS for users, the correct version of Sexlab is being displayed (1.57) in the MCM menu, I have the recommended skeleton and the rest of the related mods are installed in their latest versions as well.

another thing that might be worth mentioning: the "play animation" button in the SexLab MCM menu under "animation editor" is greyed out.
