Jay1646 Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 CPU: AMD FX-8350 MOBO: Asus m5a97 r2.0 atx am3+ Ram: 8gb DDR3 Gpu: GeForce gtx 660 2gb With all the fancy enb mods and texture overhauls How well will this run?
vlad420 Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 For the most part it should run fairly nicely as long as you don't go too overboard with the HD textures. I have allmost exactly the same build and the only problem I ever have is running out of vram when i use the REALLY big HD texture packs
CrimsonOmegaLance Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Yea i got a really nice computer, (really for the sole purpose of Skyrim playing) and then I had to uninstall a lot of my texture packs because I like huge battles with lots of NPCs.
Jay1646 Posted May 5, 2014 Author Posted May 5, 2014 U guys think going from 8gb ----> 16gb of ram will make a great difference?
vlad420 Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Not really, the problem I was having is with not enough ram in the video card and as far as I know there is no way to make the card use the system memory. Now if you got a video card with more ram in it that would help but they can get rather pricey.
SadisticIntentionsXI Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Remember the bigger the graphics card, the higher the requirements are. Always make sure you double check stats, don't want to build a rig and have it fail out the gate.
...0... Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 8gb is enough its the vram that matters. But with carefully installed texture mods LITE version performance ENB versions you make make a BEAUTIFUL skyrim just look up some video's and read some discriptions of ENB'S. Plenty of ways playing Skyrim with 2gb vram and still looks great with decent fps. Go performance and Lite textures and your OK.
vlad420 Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 A 2gb card is good enough to make it look good, thats what I have and I'm able to use Skyrim HD Lite, Project Reality and ENB without problems. As I said just don't go overboard on the HD textures and you'll be fine.
Guest Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 My GTX 770 2GB VRAM and 16GB DDR3@1600MHz runs Skyrim with HDLite textures (optimized by texture optimizer) and real vision enb (full version) having around 50-60 fps indoors and around 40fps outdoors
Jay1646 Posted May 10, 2014 Author Posted May 10, 2014 Thanks for your guys input Just ordered all the parts, can't wait to play on a non-poverty pc
