DarknessLilly Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 ok here is my probleam i just need to know what kind of skyrim edits can cause this to happen. my arrows pass through enemies hitting the ground behind them after a certain range i turn off auto aiming and use the mod perfect aiming *thinks thats the name* it turns auto aim off and ups the range so that the arrows hit where your aiming insted of auto hitting. i know this mod is not the issue since i have at one point in the past had this working perfectly. just hopeing you guys could give me some ideas on what could be causeing this probleam thank you for your time DarknessLilly
nutluck Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Gopher had that problem on one of his video's it turned out that after a certain range despite still being able to see the arrow they no longer rendered for damage if you get what I mean. Least that was his theory on what was happening. To my knowledge he never did find out exactly why at long ranges his arrows passed right thru targets.
DarknessLilly Posted April 27, 2014 Author Posted April 27, 2014 thanks wish i knew how i had it fixed before i had to format i was all the time messing with the ini's to get better preformance. thanks to your information you have given me the tip i needed and so i did a search seems You can fix the arrow range in your "skyrim.ini" file. Add: [Actor] fVisibleNavmeshMoveDist=XXXXX.0000 can fix this
nutluck Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 There is a mod that improves archery that tweaks the ini file. I honestly forget the name of the mod off hand now. Better Archery or something like that I think. It might be able to help you. I was mostly posting to let you know it is likely a vanilla skyrim issue.
germanicus Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 I started to have this problem when installed SKSE 1.7 alpha. The issue wasn't permanent, but occasional. After reloading the game, the problem is gone. Darknes LIlly - thank you fix suggestion. I will try it, right now.
