Robton Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 I get this error 0x000007b when i start LOOT (BOSS successor), anyone else struggling with this? I have tried reinstalling both LOOT and the MS Restributable Packages and are running a clean game (Hopefulle not for long...)
CGi Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 (Re)install the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Packages (2008 to 2013) again, then let windows search for updates and disable your AV, if present.
Robton Posted April 6, 2014 Author Posted April 6, 2014 Did that, didn't work... Reformated and reinstalled Windows (was hoping NOT to do that) and it worked like a charm. The problem was probably a bad windows install, or some system update f**ked shit up. Anyways... Thanks for the help
CGi Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Very likely an errornous side-by-side config.Very hard to fix, so reinstalling is faster and less tedious. But good to hear that you got it working now.
tomz31790 Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 As a programmer by profession, this error usually occurs when the application is trying to load some wrong .dll files (ie a 32bit app trying to load some 64bit .dll files).
