Strange shadow on UNP mesh after weight painting and clothes visible through body

I have been messing around with weight painting various UNP and UNP variant bodies but I often end up with strange shadows on the mesh.  The other problem I often come across is a problem where I end up having pieces of clothes becoming visible through the body mesh.  I use Max 2012/ and nifskope do my work.

clothes visible through body example:  http://static-2.nexusmods.com/15/mods/110/images/20254-1-1392226257.jpg (upper left theigh shows rear skirt showing through body)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Those shadows are their because of the normal map. It happens sometimes under certain lighting conditions.

Your clothings clip because you only changed the weights on your body. You need to copy over the new weights to your armour as well.

The shadow is especially bad on the UNP body I modified but I don't see the shadow problem at all on a UNPC body that I modified so I don't think it's normal.  The problem of clothes showing through the body does occur sometimes because I havn't finished properly weighting the clothes for the body but I''m talking about something different.  I don't have a good screenshot of the problem on this computer but basically, if I just equip a pair of underwear on the character, you can see back portion of the garment from the front of the body and vice vera when looking at the back of the bosy.  The garment is weighted to the body and doesn't have any problems otherwise.  Butt bone weights have been added to the body and then copied to the underwear

Thanks
