Z0mBieP00Nani Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 I downloaded a mod called Compound Bows Collection, and I noticed that the arrows that come with the mod, the Black Dragon Arrows, seem to glow and show off thier color, even in pitch black dungeons, where my character, and everything on her, resmbles a colorless black shape, the color on those arrows and quiver still shine brightly My question is; what is causing this strange glow and how do I fix it? I've attatched a picture to give an idea as to what I'm talking about.
nekekami Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 I'd open them up in nifscope and look under lighting properties, this'll explain it better than I can http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1188259-bslightingshaderproperty-basics/

I tried using another nif file as a reference on how each property should be set up, but I must have missed something because after installing the edited nif file as soon as I hover over the arrows in my inventory I get a CTD. I'm not sure where to go from here.
nekekami Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 If you changed stuff under the lightingshaderproperties thing make sure you adjust the related parts in nitrishape data, also double check the dropdowns for shader flags 1 and 2 . I've never messed with glows but if you have those mismatched with normals and other things you end up with black shapes instead of textures. all else fails you can probly just keep the glow map as is but turn its power way down.
