[Solved] How do i shorten an animation in 3ds?

What i'm trying to do is shorten the Tempest animation by Elysees and use it as an attackpower(fwd).hkx anim.

 

I tried to shorten the 189 frame anim down to a 23 frame anim but it still plays the same timescale ingame.

I removed the frames i didn't want with Select Time and Delete Time then in Time Configuration set the length to 23 frames.

Is it possible to make the anim only play the 23 frames ingame or am i gonna have to learn how to animate and make a whole new anim?
