Ravencroft Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 This game is pretty much an uber version of Fallen Enchantress with better graphics, gameplay and multiplayer. I MUST get some people interested in adult modding for it. Would love to get some new busty body types for heroines.
Angrybird Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 2 was a really good game, there is hope. Waiting to hear more before I buy it.
Ravencroft Posted April 7, 2014 Author Posted April 7, 2014 I'm sad we aren't getting much AoW3 love here.
Vaelorian Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 AoW3 is pretty good. Few things letting it down are the lack of a proper tutorial (the "tome of wonders" or whatever it's called is the equivalent of handing the audience a glossary at the entry to a film) and poor game balance (rogues are NOT equivalent in strength to mages or theocrats, for example). A few of the more "Edge-case" mechanics can be problematic too. A bit more customization options (such as being able to select the maximum amount of upgrade points when crafting an item, or the rate at which heroes get exp for example) would have been nice. Graphic options are decent, but the lack of sliders in wizard customization are a bit of a let-down. Also, I was hoping to be able to decide what type of spells I want to learn beyond the "Basic" and "Master" levels (you have three points, and there's six kinds of magic with two levels each). I suppose I should probably mention that the game leans heavily towards the fetishistic side of things in regards to various items & models. For example, you can get high-heeled black boots that could've probably been a part of a BDSM scene, that have more defense and magic resistence than any you can craft. All in all, it's maybe a 7/10. 8/10 if you're willing to overlook the glaring balance flaws and the annoyance of finding the last unit of an otherwise-defeated enemy who constantly removes your city enchantments from bloody no-where. It's NOT the flawless 10/10 game that Totalbiscuit's video might have led you to believe, but it's definitely worth a buy. It might get better with patches and\or mods, but as the game is in it's current form (at the time of writing) it's merely "Good".
