Confused about the installation path for Wrye Bash

I am a bit confused about the location where you actually should install Wrye Bash to. I read a couple of guides and often they are talking about a "game" folder (sometimes written in brackets [games]) and I am not sure if those guides mean the "Skyrim" or "Oblivion" folder in your steam installation path or they mean the "games" folder you find usually on C: in your windows installation path (where you actually install NMM into too).

Install it in the game's main folder. For skyrim you install it in .../steam/steamapps/common/skyrim/ folder, where the executables are. WB's files will then be installed into Skyrim/mopy/ folder.

Thx, I already thought that, but Wrye Bash tells me "I should install Skyrim and therefore Wrye Bash too, into another folder as the Steam or C:Programm Folders at all" because you might geht windows registry issues. I guess that's pretty old info and maybe concerned WinXP.
