Nobody should make it without explicit permission, as Deviantart would latch onto you like a pitbull if the author files complaint. And when they do, they'll play a game of bother the ISP and pester the copywrite thief. Ask the author first. I know if I drew a concept art and people ran off with it, I'd walk the proper legal channels too. Always ask first.

While not intentional, and while imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, having someone use your stuff unauthorized is bitter. The praise and oooh's and aaah's that make showing your artwork fun then go to someone else and sooner or later the artist showcases their stuff but keeps it as a private mod. And then everyone feels bitter.

Exactly, also this: **warning** I'm not interested about co-work. Additionally we're not making a profit here by creating his armor for scratch, he will be credited as the one who inspired that armor. Aaaand boy am I interested in doing that armor
