Japanese is a mix between Chinese characters and their own. Korean is totally different style. i don't speak nor do i know any of the languages and i can tell the difference. chinese is uber complicated looking. japanese is well... easy to distinguish because... well i can't explain but its easy. korean uses a lot of circles in the text so it makes it really easy to tell if it's korean or not.
