Lines on characters

I recently had to get a new motherboard and hard drive for my computer so i had to re install Skyrim. When i started it up with mods i noticed my characters had lines on there body's. I tried to edits settings, the ini files(even though idk what half the settings do) and nothing worked. I then fresh installed and started up with no mods at all and the issue was still there on the default Skyrim character just not as noticeable. I posted on nexus and no one has answered yet and I've seen someone else post just after me with same issue. Id really appreciate it if someone could help me with this.

Here's 2 pics here to show the lines on my character, i used Succubus race and apachiiskyhair and nothing else for these pictures.

No body mods? No textures? Looks almost like a custom nude body with the vanilla texture still on it.

The pictures only have succubus mod which is a custom nude body and a hair mod that's needed for it to work but other then that nothing is installed. As i said in OP this issue is there with the vanilla characters as well with no mods installed whatsoever from a fresh install, as well as any other body mod i used.

not sure if I'm allowed to post a link to the nexus here but this is from another poster having same issue on CBBE body

Yeah, Nexus links are allowed. This ISN'T the Nexus. ;)

It sounds like you need to find a compatible texture. Did the mod have a texture with it? One on the mod's download page perhaps? What body type is that race's body based on (so you'll know what's compatible)?

Because now I am almost 100% sure it's because you haven't added a texture for the body. When you use a custom body you really need custom textures for that body type. Vanilla textures don't fit the new body shape.

Also, you said you did a reinstall (a second one). Did you go to documents/my games/Skyrim and delete that folder (and all the saves and stuff in it) before the re-install? Because if you didn't then bad stuff from before will carry over into the new install/game. Any time you do a clean install you have to delete that folder before the install. A new one will be made when you first start up the Skyrim launcher.

Uhm, more than a simple texture problem, it looks like the mesh UV junctures. It's weird but I think it could be noticeable with bad video drivers, really bad resolution textures or simply a really old videocard. You'd still test with other body textures to make sure you can get rid of it. Since Succubus Race is a CBBE body, you only need to find CBBE body textures and try.

Obviously you can't use Nexus Mod Manager to install them, you need to place the textures inside the succubus' textures folder.

Yeah, without knowing which mod it is I don't know if it came with it's own textures or not. Maybe it did?

The line up the side of the torso sure makes it look like it's using a vanilla texture, though.

I had to get a new motherboard and hard drive so there was nothing on my computer in the first place

Unless they took out textures and changed the way installs work for NMM in the last 6 months(I played Skyrim modded for a year) there should be no issue as the site says it comes with its own custom textures and everything and i never had this issue before all i did was DL with NMM install and it worked fine no extra textures or anything. Also as i said before its on every body mod i tried, CBBE, UNP, 7B and so on, as well the unmodded vanilla character(every NPC not just my character)

Then could be a hardware or drivers problem.

Have you touched your video drivers settings? Like mipmap quality level?

I play allot of games such as the new Tomb Raider, Far Cry 3 as well as some MMO's, currently playing Vindictus and Warframe, and have no issues in texture or such.

As for mipmap i have no idea what that is lol. I'm not very computer savvy.

Ya. Uhm. Try two things, first delete your ini's and reopen the Skyirm Launcher to generate default inis, Then in the launcher, in advanced, set the texture quaility to high.  If you feel you lost a lot of performance set low other things like shadows and stuff. But really at least to test.

Oh and also make sure in the launcher that it's your videocard the one being recognized.
