urielmanx7 Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Hi I'm currently on the process of making Skyrim a hardcore unforgiving, yet rewarding experience, and I'm pretty much done: Requiem Frostfall RND (Realistic needs and diseases) Deadly combat Ultimate combat (had duel too, but removed it for incompatibilities with Sanguine's Debauchery) Way of the Dovahkin - Sands of time Lock On TK Dodge Alternate Stat System Character Creation Overhaul And so far I'm happy with the difficulty, but one aspect still bothers me, and that's that when you run out of stamina you can still attack, and I was wondering if there's a mod out there that makes it so you can't do actions (like attack and jump) if you don't have stamina. Also, if you know of a mod that adds difficulty (fair difficulty, mind you) to the game, feel free to suggest it. Thanks in advance.
Tonycubed2 Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Hi. I apologize i do not have the details, but just recently in nexus someone uploaded such a mod. Makes skyrim harder in a fair way. It had stamina requirements and effects, meaning penalties . And running uses stamina, not just sprinting. the mod also disables fast travel. Was just browsing the site when i saw your post. urielmanx7 Posted May 26, 2014 Author Posted May 26, 2014 Mmm, I saw not too long ago one that combines various hardcore mods, I think it's called epic combat overhaul or something, maybe is that one. Though my list has been modified a bit since I posted it, right now I removed RND because it didn't register when I sleep on the tents I make with frostfall, also removed CCO and Alternate stat system due to incompatibilities with requiem, which is the core mod. Oh, btw, can you tip me on how to tune your mod, so I experience encounters while fast traveling? I had to pause yours for the infinite spawing on dungeons, I didn't knew how to turn it off.
NNS10 Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Do you actually need a mod to make it so you can't attack when you're out of stamina? More realistically, you'd still be able to swing, but your damage would be crap. I believe that's what Requiem does (if it's not Requiem, then it's SkyRe). How is "Alternate Stat System" ? I just read the description and it sounds pretty interesting. Bit disappointing the mod author is no longer supporting it though. How developed/buggy is it? The front page lists out 3 known issues.
urielmanx7 Posted May 27, 2014 Author Posted May 27, 2014 Requiem makes it so that when you swing with no stamina, there's a chance you will drop your weapon. For what I gather, alternate stat is buggy on the swing speed and the dragons souls, I can only confirm you about the swing speed, with only like 30 on one-handed you swing faster than with the elemental fury shout, you just need to manually set those values yourself, other than that it's pretty usable.
