IBAGadget Posted yesterday at 06:44 AM Posted yesterday at 06:44 AM Set your replacer to load after MNC.
CaptainJ03 Posted yesterday at 07:52 AM Posted yesterday at 07:52 AM If you're brave, you could also unpack MNC into a new folder on your hard drive, plonk the replacer in there, repack, install that as a mod. Be sure to keep the original files as backup. Yes, what IBAGadget said is much more elegant, but in some cases it's still easier to repack a mod-with-patch than to have a seperate patch with a nondescript name like "update" or "new version"

Be sure to keep the original files as backup. I've done this exact same thing with both texture replacers for mods, as well as bodyslide conversions - unpacked both mods, replaced the original files with the conversion files, then repacked them and changed the name of the new archive to indicate it's been edited. Note that the relevant file names don't get changed, just the archive name. This saves me from having to install the original mod and the conversion file, and in the case of clothing/armor mods, it can actually eliminate having files in bodyslide that don't match the body type you are using (for example, for a BHUNP outfit with a 3BA conversion, you can wind up with both BHUNP and 3BA bodyslide files cluttering up your list) It's also possible that your Vampire Lord replacer may not be compatible with SL, which is why the game defaults to the MNC version - it's been built with the necessary skeleton/mesh changes to allow it to be used in animations. Creature Framework (which you should have if you are running MNC) also allows you to disable individual creatures, including Vampire Lords. You may also be able to select a different version of the creature to use if one exists - I can't say for sure as I don't use any replacers of this type in my game. Check your Creature Framework MCM and go through the lists until you find Vampire Lord - it will tell you which version it is using, and if you click on it it will give you a popup box allowing you to select whether you want to disable it or not. 2
