Do y'all think there was a time post-helgen when Ulfric claimed to be dragonborn?

Like as far as the average Nord is concerned shouting=sacred from the start. And there is a period of time in which Ulfric is the only one with the Voice not on high hrothgar after the dragons return, when the last Dragonborn is said to appear. Considering how long that period is for some of y'all, the political benefits would be obvious. And hell, he might even believe it himself.

At the very least that should be a rumor among his people especially one time passes and the real dragonborn hasn't been found.

That little bastard would totally lie about being the dragon born, but it seems like the gray beards herald the presence of the dragon born so their shout calling for them might be a known prerequisite to there being a new one.

nothing in the game says ulfric ever claimed to be dragonborn, there have been plenty of non dragonborn shouters in skyrim's history, also the Ebony Warrior knows some shouts.
