[CK] How can I use a Killmove from weapon X for weapon Y?

Hello,

I would like to change a little some killmoves on a weapon, but I have no idea how to do it properly. I know some killmoves stuff are located in Gameplay>Character>Behaviours>0_Master.hkx

There are 2 killmoves that I really love with the Battleaxe, but I prefer to use Greatswords. How can I replace a few killmoves ?

I've looked everywhere but only found some vague answers. I know it's possible since the Dance of Death mod even adds more Killmoves to weapons.

I don't know if that is even possible. However, (TDoD) or The Dance of Death allows you to set some peramiters up that will allow a 100% chance on kill moves, 100% chance on decapitation and also adjust the rotation of your kill moves. The mod is absolutely one of my must have mods, so I highly highly recommend it. I run mine about 40-50, and kill moves are often enough but not every time.

This may allow you to achieve what you are looking for.

Vancien is correct about "The Dance of Death"'s greatness and that it will likely be the closest you will  get to what you want. You can set the mod to have a perk restriction or not. The use of the perk system to unlock certain kill moves might allow you to have access to the exact move you want. This will be easier if you are planning on using an axe or mace kill move.

A good way to test this out is to use the list I am going to put below this paragraph (it is also listed on the mod info page that Vancien linked). You should make a hard save. Then use console command to add the perk you wish to test out. Set the killmove chance to 100% and finally use the console command to spawn an enemy to test it out on.

Here is the perks unlock system list.

Hand To Hand:
Fists of Steel - Unlocks 1 Hand-to-Hand Killmove

One-Handed:
Armsman (0) - Unlocks 1 Single Blade Killmove
Armsman (20) - Unlocks 2 Dual Wield and 1 Axe/Mace Killmove
Armsman (40) - Unlocks 3 Single Blade and 1 Dual Wield Killmove
Armsman (60) - Unlocks 1 Dual Wield, 1 Axe/Mace and 1 Axe Only Killmove
Bladesman (30) - Unlocks 1 Single Blade and 1 Dual Wield Killmove
Bladesman (60) - Unlocks 3 Single Blade and 1 Single Blade Only Killmove
Dual Flurry (30) - Unlocks 1 Dual Wield Killmove
Dual Flurry (50) - Unlocks 2 Dual Wield Killmoves
Bone Breaker/Hack And Slash (30) - Unlocks 1 Mace/Axe Killmove
Bone Breaker/Hack And Slash (60) - Unlocks 1 Mace/Axe Killmove
Fighting Stance - Unlocks 2 Single Blade and 1 Axe/Mace Killmove
Critical Charge - Unlocks 1 Shield, 1 Single Blade, 1 Dual Wield and 1 Shield + Axe Killmove
Savage Strike - Unlocks 2 Single Blade Killmoves
Dual Savagery - Unlocks 2 Dual Wield Killmoves

Block:
Quick Reflexes - Unlocks 1 Shield Killmove
Power Bash - Unlocks 1 Shield + Sword and 2 Shield + Axe Killmoves

Two-Handed:
Barbarian (00) - Unlocks 1 Greatsword and 3 Warhammer/Battleaxe Killmoves
Barbarian (20) - Unlocks 1 Greatsword and 1 Warhammer/Battleaxe Killmoves
Barbarian (40) - Unlocks 1 Warhammer/Battleaxe Killmoves
Deep Wounds (30) - Unlocks 1 Greatsword Killmove
Deep Wounds (60) - Unlocks 1 Greatsword Killmove
Skullcrusher (30) Unlocks 1 Battleaxe Killmoves
Champion Stance - Unlocks 1 Greatsword Killmove, and a variety of Killmoves vs Creatures for Greatswords.
Great Critical Charge - Unlocks 1 Greatsword and 1 Warhammer/Battleaxe Killmoves
Devastating Blow - Unlocks 1 Greatsword and 1 Warhammer/Battleaxe Killmove
Sweep - Unlocks 2 Greatsword and 1 Warhammer/Battleaxe Killmoves

Note: "Single Blade" refers to a single bladed weapon, with or without a shield equipped. "Single Blade Only" refers to a single bladed weapon with either spells or nothing equipped in the offhand.

Hope this helps you. And thanks Vancien for what I consider the correct answer.

I already have Dance of Death :P but it doesn't change killmoves, it adds more of them to weapons.

I just wanted to know if I could use a Battleaxe killmove when using a Greatsword, I think it's possible but I can't find the files in the Creation Kit.

My apologies for misunderstanding what you were asking. As for the actual question you had, it might be possible for a modder to create something like this. I personally do not have the skills needed to create a mod like this, it should be pretty easy for someone who knows what they are doing.

In theory, if I understand this even a little bit, is that in game certain killmoves can occur when condition x is met while holding weapon y while in position z. If you removed the y requirement somehow it should allow you to use that killmove for any weapon.

Like I said this is only a theory, what I typed here might not actually be true, could someone who actually understands how to make mods verify if this concept is correct?
