I finally managed to finish my conversion of the Stargate. It was originally made by Nonsequitor at LL, you can find the original for Sims 3 here: https://www.loverslab.com/files/file/26177-stargate-atlantis-set-1/

 

By kind permission from Nonsequitor I managed to learn what I needed from TSRWorkshop, Blender and Sims4Studio so that I could start converting it. It has taken almost a week lol with 24 tries before I was happy with it. Unfortunately I couldnt just import the textures since sims 3 and sims 4 work differently regarding those. I had to manually paint the texture with the letters on the gate and some of the DHD wich took a fair amount of time.

 

Anyway, here it is, the Stargate from Atlantis. The files include the stargate itself, a DHD (im not quite happy with it but my head hurts from all the thinking lol) and ofcourse the Iris.

 

To place the iris you need to have the moveobjects cheat turned on, I had trouble placing it so for the images I use the T.O.O.L mod by TwistedMexi to position it right.

 

The Stargate doesent actually do anything but look pretty but I got a suggestion from Autisimbear that I could try converting some portals from sims 3 so I might do that later. For now you can just teleport them if you want lol.

 

There is a build of Stargate Command coming but it just keeps growing so it will take some time to finish. In the meantime you can build whatever you want with this and feel free to include in any lots you make, Im just happy if anyone uses it.
