Mod Organizer Question

Quick question - I use MO to manage my mods, so I always start Skyrim thru it.  I have about 6 different toons I play, so 6 different profiles.  Regardless of which profile I start with, the game loads to the default and the 1 save I have there (right before the execution so I don't have to sit thru the ride in the wagon when I start a new toon).  So this means that every day (it only does it the first time) I have to start Skyrim, wait for it load, and then quit and start again to access the saves of the profile I want to use.  Is that just normal, or is there something I can do to get around it.  Not a big deal I know, but figured I'd ask.

I also have various profiles, mostly just for testing mods. Never seen that issue. Only thing I can suggest is to un-install and re-install Mod Manager as a clean install instead of the usual in-place upgrade.

If you check their website there should be a guide on what folders you need to keep, so you don't loose any mods/profiles.

Hope that helps.  :)

When you configured your profile(s) there was an option for "Local Savegames" at the bottom of the window. If you selected that, Savegame files would be stored under MO's profiles folder and only visible when that profile was active.

That setting can be changed by selecting "Manage" from the Profile Dropdown menu.

That being said, this will only applied to saves made after the configuration change, sorry.

Hope that helped.

Guess that's sort of my point.  I have 5 or 6 different toons, each with a separate profile, each with their own local saves.  However, when I start Skyrim for the first time each day, it ignores whichever profile is chosen and instead goes to the 'default' profile which has only the 1 save I use when I start new toons.  Like I said, not a huge deal.  I start Skyrim, wait for it to load (which of course always takes longer the first time) and when it's at the load screen, I quit.  Then, when I start again, the profile chosen is the one that loads.  I had just wondered if there was a way to get it to load directly to the chosen profile the first time, in order to save me that extra step.  It's like 10 seconds, so I probably shouldn't have even bothered with this post.  Just worried that maybe I'd been doing something wrong.

My guess what's causing it:
Steam is launched when you launch Skyrim thru MO.
MO can not catch the process correctly if that happens and the game loads w/o MOs injects and by this w/o any mod that's not installed in the games data folder.

Edit: All iNis and saves are vanilla by this too, ofc. So if you never setup the game outside of MO, the config will be the default one and if you never saved a game outside of MO, there won't be any and if then they are not what you expected to see.

Solution: Start Steam manually before launching Skyrim thru MO.
