Quasimorph mods

It is perhaps slightly premature to be discussing "fun" mods for this game considering it just had its 1.0 release... which has been admittedly rough.  Plus, game's UI/UX leaves much to be desired, between bad translation, weird tooltip popups, and apparently a poorly coded replacement for how trade works.  But already got someone asking about a sex mod on the Steam forum, though perhaps not surprising since you are basically running a gang PMC!

Anyhow, Unity game, C# coded, where my pimping game-mod at...?  The lazy way would probably be to implement it via research (like the kitchen mod already out, like seriously, how did the game's dev mange to 1.0 without an option for food manufacturing on the ship, prolly explains a lot); or maybe also items (for both research and Q-meter management).

Or is it better to just wait a few months at a minimum while the dev finally finishes the game?  Apparently supposedly at least one DLC has already been announced...

Edit:  Thinking about it more, I guess the dev expected players to be able to find kitchen/food prep options when the player had to land and waste time interact directly with traders, but then when the entire trading system was given a quick-n-dirty redesign for the 1.0, dev basically forgot to add a kitchen research option.  So until dev finishes "fixing" the game, yeah, mod for the kitchen too... at least that mod is a good example for cross-implementing pre-existing game systems!

I'd be happy with just some custom sprites/clothing!!

I'm not disagreeing, but sprite generation is already kind of a pain in the ass, animating the sprite just quintuples the pain... though the semi-isometric nature of the game does leave sprites at kind of a weird angle, almost more of a top-down sprite.  Am curious if anyone has had generating sprite via machine learning now that Blender MCP is compatible with Claude, but that's so recent that I would be surprised if the MCP was sufficiently capable of maintaining basically the same sprite across entire animation sequences; and that's just one sprite... on the other hand, if someone wants to manually animate stuff, knock yourself out!

Yeah, Quasimorph has a huge potential for "fun" mods in my opinion:

- Base character models could be nude and as soon as armor durability drops to 0 the nude body parts could be revealed.

- Revealed nude body parts could trigger various combat events, especially with spawned Quasimorphs.

- Some attacks could inflict only minor health damage, but major armor damage.

- Pregnancy could work similar to the already implemented infection mechanic.

- Some missions could have organic pods, which slowly transform nude characters into Quasimorphs.

I have already been toying around with the idea of using nudity as an alternative to sneaking around for infiltration missions (ie, basically a stun or linked into the surrender/morale mechanic).  Though game's 1.0 release is so half-baked that I would much rather stick to modding Caves of Qud for now...

I certainly wouldn't call the 1.0 release half-baked, because Quasimorph is already a lot of fun and offers many interesting game mechanics.

Lulz, fun is subjective.  The 1.0 release was less than a month ago and it's already had 3 updates to fix stuff that should have been fixed in the 0.99 polish update... plus, the tutorial is kind of a joke, though I guess not surprising since it was apparently tacked on at the last minute.  Other EA games are equally guilty of this sin, clearly more of a side-effect of the entire EA process.
